WWF King Of The RingJune 23, 1996MECCA Arena, in Milwaukee, WisconsinHosts: Vince McMahon and Jim RossKOTR Semi Final: Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Marc Mero (w/ Sable)__________________________________________________________
KOTR Semi final: The Ultimate Warrior vs. Jake "The Snake" RobertsIt might've taken a couple of years but we finally get The Warrior and The Snake against each other in the ring, although this time both men are face and show this when they show great sportsmanship by shaking hands. The bell rings and the two competitors lock up before Warrior gets Roberts into a headlock, Roberts pushes back and sends Warrior running to the ropes before Jake is hit with a shoulder tackle by The Warrior. Momentum between the two men swings back and forth until The Warrior clotheslines Roberts out side of the ring. However when he goes to leave the ring, JERRY LAWLER slides into the ring and hits a piledriver on him! The ref rings the bell and The Warrior moves onto the final. Winner via DQ: The Ultimate WarriorEven after the match, Lawler continues his attack but the Warrior makes a comeback and hits the gorilla press. But when he goes to splash him, Lawler slides out of the ring and hightails it to the back. The Smoking Gunns (Bart Gunn and Billy Gunn) (c) (w/ Sunny) def. The Godwinns (Henry O. Godwinn and Phineas I. Godwinn) (w/ Hillbilly Jim) to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships
Hunter Hearst Helmsley def. Aldo Montoya
Mankind def. The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer)
Ahmed Johnson defeated Goldust (c) (w/ Marlena) to NEW WWF Intercontinental Championship__________________________________________________________ KOTR Final: Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Ultimate Warrior
The Warrior makes his way out for the second time tonight as he faces off against Stone Cold Steve Austin, it's old school vs new school and new school has a new attitude. Austin mocks the Warrior on his way in by shaking the ropes before flipping The Warrior off, Warrior and Austin then exchange blows. Austin gets Warrior in the corner and starts stomping a mud hole in The Warrior, he yet again mocks Warrior before getting another kick in. Eventually momentum shifts and The Warrior is in control, he clotheslines Austin out of the ring before following him to the outside and throws him into the ring steps. They re-enter the ring at 7 before The Warrior throws Austin into the ropes. It all seems to be over for Austin but when The Warrior goes for the Gorilla Press, Austin reverses and hits a STUNNER! Austin covers him for 3 and becomes the 1996 King of the Ring. Winner and 1996 King of the Ring: Stone Cold Steve AustinAustin slides out of the ring and starts walking towards the King of the Ring throne while Dox Hendrix talks on the mic. Hendrix: The fourth (actually tenth but guessing Dox got confused) prestigious King of the Ring, Stone Cold Steve Austin, an incredible victory! Austin: The first thing I want to be done, is to get pieces of crap like that and Jake Roberts out of my ring. Don't just get him out of the ring, get him out of the WWF because I proved son, without a shadow of a doubt, you and Roberts don't have what it takes anymore. Jake, you sit there and you thump your Bible, say your prayers and it didn't get you anywhere. Talk about your psalms, talk about John 3:16...Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass! The crowd pops as Dox tells him that wasn't necessary. Austin: As King of the Ring, I'm surviving notice to all the WWF Superstars including that washed up piece of trash right there (points to The Warrior standing in the ring). I don't give a damn what they are, they're all on the list, and that's Stone Cold's list, and I'm fixing to start running through all of them. And as far as the championship match is considered son, I don't give a damn if it's Davey Boy Smith or Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin's time has come, and when I get that shot you're looking at the next WWF champion. Hendrix: Obviously anything but humble, the fourth prestigious King Of The Ring, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Warrior starts walking towards the back and Austin takes the opportunity to talk more trash that leads to a brawl before both men are seperated. Shawn Michaels (c) (w/José Lothario) def. The British Bulldog (with Diana Smith and Jim Cornette) with Mr. Perfect as special outside enforcer to retain the WWF Championship - After the match Bulldog and Owen Hart (who was on commentary) attacked Michaels before Ahmed comes out to help him before Vader comes down and jumps Ahmed and Shawn, eventually The Warrior returns and helps Michaels and Ahmed. All three men pose to end the show.

The Warrior and Vader start off for their teams and have at it, soon Vader tags in Bulldog and they double team Warrior. Warrior then gets the Bulldog down and tags in Shawn who gets to work with Bulldog, Michaels nearly hits a superkick but Davey catches his leg and drops HBK and elbows his thigh. Ahmed is the next tag and he starts cleaning house, knocking both Vader and Owen off the apron before Bulldog surprises him with a clothesline. The end involves Warrior and Owen after being tagged in by HBK and Vader retrospectively, the rest of their teammates brawling while Warrior is about to hit the Gorilla Press when STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN gets in the ring and hits a Stunner on the Warrior! Owen uses this to quickly get the cover as Austin slides out and Earl counts to three. Warrior: Last night I had Owen Hart beat in the ring and was going to win the match when Stone Cold Steve Austin ran out and cost me the match! I chased him to the back and have yet to get my hands on him.. Even after he defeated me to become King of the Ring, he still wants to fight me. If it's a fight he wants, he'll get it! Before he can say anything else, Brian Pillman (who had done commentary for the Goldust/Horowitz match) gets a mic and cuts him off. Pillman: Warrior, Stone Cold Steve Austin told you that washed up pieces of crap like you don't belong here anymore! You old timers are trying to keep us younger wrestlers down and try to relive the glory days! You're time is over, ours is now! The Ultimate Warrior vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin After some highlights of their feud so far we cut back to the ring where Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his entrance before The Warrior's music hits and he comes running out. He shakes the ropes and enters the ring when Austin ambushes him! The bell rings and the two deliver right after right, it barely resembles a wrestling match it more resembles a bar fight. The brawling goes to the outside, Austin throws Warrior into the ring post and then back into the ring. He signals for the stunner, he goes for the kick but Warrior grabs his boot and shoves him and Austin accidentally bumps into the ref and knocks him out! Stone Cold is sent into the ropes and hits the Lou Thez press, he then slides out of the ring and grabs a steel chair and starts bashing The Warrior's back! Eventually Austin lets Ultimate Warrior up, spins him around and hits the stunner! Stone Cold goes for the cover but the ref is still out! Austin lets go and grabs the ref and slaps him to get him to wake up but there's no such luck. While Austin's busy with the ref, The Warrior starts to show signs of life. He grabs the bottom rope and starts shaking, then he grabs the middle rope and shakes, then the top rope and shaking the ropes! Austin turns around and sees Warrior back up and goes to attack but it has no effect on Warrior! Austin keeps hitting him but nothing happens, Austin tries again but The Warrior blocks it and hits him. Warrior throws him into the ropes and hits the shoulder tackle, then another, before hitting the Gorilla Press and finally the splash to win the match.
Winner: The Ultimate Warrior The crowd cheers as The Warrior poses for them before we go to a video hyping the main event.

5. The Mega Powers never split One of the most famous rivalries in WWF history, the Mega Powers imploded due to WWF Champion Randy Savage's paranoia about Hulk Hogan and his valet Ms. Elizabeth leading to their match at Wrestlemania V which saw the Hulkster walk out the new WWF Champion. But what if the Mega Powers never split? What would the main event of Wrestlemania V if the Mega Powers were still together?

Macho Man Randy Savage (c) (w/ Miss Elizabeth) vs. Bad News Brown for the WWF Championship
The WWF Championship match begins with the arrival of the two combatants, the bell rings and the two immediately lock up. The champ shoves Brown down onto the mat, the crowd cheers before they lock up again. Brown gets Savage into a headlock and gets some hits in before he is sent to the ropes, Savage ducks but Brown stops himself and hits Macho with his knee. Brown abandons the match style they were having so far and turns it into a fight. Brown gets Macho into the corner and starts strangling him, the ref counts for him to let go and Brown does only to get in the ref's face. He eventually turns his attention back to Savage and irish whips him to the ropes when Savage clotheslines him outside of the ring! The ref starts his count as Savage exits the ring and starts attacking Brown, in the middle of his attacks Savage slides back into the ring and out to break up the count. Brown eventually gets the advantage and knocks Savage down to the floor when he spots Elizabeth and starts stalking her! He gets up to her and slaps her!
Savage sees this and snaps, grabbing a steel chair but Brown grabs Elizabeth and holds her in front of him! The ref is about to count to 10 when Brown throws her into the champ and slides back in to get the countout victory.
Winner via countout: Bad News Brown

During the match Brown slapped Savage's manager Miss Elizabeth, this is a incomprehensible action and I have suspended Mr. Brown for his actions. However, Mr. Brown's suspension will end shortly before Wrestlemania V and with many requests on behalf of the WWF Champion the main event of Wrestlemania V will see the Macho Man take on Bad News Brown in a "Street Fight". No disqualifications or countouts, the only way to win is to either pin your opponent or make them submit. Thank you.

The Million Dollar Man makes his way to the ring first before the crowd pops for the Hulkster making his way down, DiBiase gets a cheap shot against Hogan before the ref rings the bell. Ted locks in a head lock on a prone Hogan but Hulk gets out of the hold and gets some room to breathe. Hogan eventually takes control of the match, sending DiBiase to the outside after a huge irish whip. Virgil uses this to DiBiase's advantage and attacks Hogan! The ref is too busy counting and by the time DiBiase gets back in, Virgil's already out. Ted hits a couple of fists drops and goes for the cover but Hogan manages to kick out, DiBiase is obviously frustrated and starts kicking the Hulkster. DiBiase eventually gets him up and sends him to the ropes before he puts the Hulkster in the Million Dollar Dream and the match seems to be over but as the ref lifts Hogan's arm for the third time, it doesn't drop and he starts to Hulk up. Hogan breaks out of the Million Dollar Dream and hits the punches, then the big boot! Virgil gets on the apron but is sent flying into a barricade by Hogan before he drops the leg and pins DiBiase.
Winner: Hulk Hogan

Pomp and Circumstance blares through out the arena and the WWF Champion makes his way out. Finally the match begins and at first, resembles a regular wrestling match. Some rest holds, submissions, and pinfall attempts but eventually it goes to the outside. Brown rams Macho Man's head straight into the steel steps before using said steps and throwing them down onto the WWF Champion's leg. Brown picks up the WWF champ and holds him against the ring post and is about to throw a punch when Savage ducks and Brown hits the post instead! Brown screams out in pain and holds his knuckle while the champ gets some room to breathe before slamming Brown head first into the ring post. Savage then grabs a steel chair and whacks Brown right in the head! Savage starts whacking Brown again and again, until Brown hits a low blow and the champ goes down. Brown picks up the fallen champ and throws him back into the ring and grabs the chair before re-entering the ring. He picks up Savage and whacks him in the head with the chair, he hits Savage's back with the chair too. He puts the chair on Savage's leg and starts climbing the turnbuckle, he jumps and misses! Savage moves out of the way, and pulls himself back up via the ropes. He grabs the steel chair and yet again whacks Brown with it and busts him open! He continues to whack Brown with the chair before finally dropping the chair. Savage starts climbing the turnbuckle, he points up to the sky and hits the elbow! He covers Brown for the victory and retains his WWF Championship.
