Is there a story as to how Ringside got so tight to Jakks - like Jakks doing exclusives with them etc? I'm surprised WWE even allowed it, you'd have thought they'd want all exclusives via WWEShop.com or something.
Of course now this relationship has now reached Mattel and Jazwares etc.
Is someone here like a former Jakks employee?

I think Jeremy spoke about this on the MWFP podcast interview he did a few weeks ago.

Check out the Major WF Pod and specifically the interviews with Jeremy from Jakks/Jazwares and Jon from Ringside. They're awesome and explain everything you'd want to know. Ringside has an incredible backstory. There Jeremy one is more recent, you'd have to go back a bit to find the one with Jon.

I think Jeremy spoke about this on the MWFP podcast interview he did a few weeks ago. Yeah, they hooked up at a toy fair. Jakks just got the license for WWF figures and Ringside was a new online startup at the time and their needs were compatible.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate all the Exclusives RSC got, and the figures we were treated to buy. I watched the MWFP video from Ringside a few weeks ago, I've watched it 4 or 5 times now. What a collection Jon has! Some of Jakks best work was the RSC Exclusives.

This is interesting. It's amazing how the Jakks Exclusives also went to Rocky figures

My guess is that it's like any business, you had a customer that wanted to purchase a product and the manufacturer was happy to get increased business.
Without looking it up, I'd think the RSC Exclusive Far East set with Sakoda and Akio (assuming you don't count Jimmy Wang Yang who came out years later) are the only wrestler that RSC got that were never released in any form in another series eventually. Kenzo Suzuki (k-mart exclusive) is the only other figure I can think of that falls into the same category, although there's probably a diva or manager that fits the list. I was going to also say Luther Reigns (TRU's treacherous trio's) but he was in AD 13 with Angle.
