He wasn't really doing much apart from reliving his late 90's gimmick.
A woken/Broken Hardy would be perfect in AEW.

Man, hate his return run was not more than it was. Also really hate we didn’t get to see the Hardy’s have a big send off together or something. Seems like their most recent tenure was plagued with injuries from Jeff and bad booking for Matt.

While the return got a great pop and I would never trade that moment for anything, it was quite a flop of a run. WWE just did not know how to handle/book his character. It worked so well in Impact, they knew exactly how to book him and use him. In Impact he barely wrestled outside of his pre-taped "Hardy Matches" at the compound and whatnot. WWE then has him wrestle every week. Matt has bad knees, especially at that time. The fans didn't LOVE Matt in Impact because of his matches, they loved him for all the stuff WWE didn't really have him do. I will give WWE credit, they tried with the Wyatt match at the compound. I did enjoy it, not nearly as much as the Impact stuff, but it was good. Such a shame they didn't want to try even more.

I like Matt, but his best days are behind him. The Broken/Woken was never really my thing either. So if he wants to go elsewhere, so be it.

I think there's a really good chance he re-signs with WWE.

I'm not sure he is a good fit with AEW and what they are doing at the monent, this isnt a slight at Matt but AEW need to avoid doing the whole TNA WWE cast offs/over the hill signings and need to establish their own stars.
Matt still has something to give but I feel Impact or ROH would benefit ALOT more as would Matt being more creative and a big fish in a little pond. Would AEW put Matt at the top of the card? I dont think so and I'm not sure Matt would want to be stuck in the lower mid card again until he hangs the boots up.
My money is on a return to Impact for some reason.

Shouldnt Jeff's contract be expired as well since they signed at the same time? Or did they tack on extra months because of his injuries and arrests?

Save ya the time of watching Backstage, as suggested lol. Your second sentence is correct, the added time due to his various absences. Could be into late this year before Jeff is out from under his current contract.

Matt Hardy could always show up on NXT. They played some weird vignette on NXT last week, it could be Matt Hardy? Either that or Killer Kross.

plagued with injuries from Jeff Didn't know that drunk driving and being caught passed out was an injury. Guess the boozeso Uso's are always injured also.

Nice try smart guy but if you had a clue what you were talking about you’d realize that he’s been out due to the leg injury from when they relinquished the titles and before that was out from a torn pectoral muscle I believe. All that you listed, while trying to be a wise guy, hasn’t been the reason he’s been out. Good try though, mark 👍🏻

They did that bulls**t thing where they added time to his contract. Seems like it should be illegal to do to an independent contractor, but I don't know the language of the contract.

That was apparently WWE's last-ditch pitch to keep Matt from exploring free agency. The hang-ups in negotiations were about Creative and his use, not the $$$.

Well, guess it is AEW then as the Bucks just made an appearance on his youtube channel.

Is he gonna be a MISUSED JOBBER in AEW, or is he gonna BURY the young guys? In wrestling, at his age, it’s one or the other!
