Hey guys? Do you think that it will be a hassle getting Walmart to stock these 8/1/20 as I’ve seen a place holder in my store for these figures but do you think Walmart would keep up stocking or just do these online since the demand is there??

If they are shipping from RSC in July, then it should hit stores in September

It's weird they already have a place holder if they're 5 months out...

It's a new product that will be worked into planograms over the summer. If they're advertising a 8/1 street date, it's a safe bet that resets will be scheduled for that time, and we should see figures on shelves at most stores.
I have no doubt these will be plentiful at release. The question becomes whether the figures sell through (hopefully not an issue) and if they're consistently restocked when they do sell through. And that's something we won't know until late summer/fall.

I'm very conflicted because I want to get these immediately and plan on pre-ordering from Ringside soon... but at the same time I am worried if they don't get bought in stores like Wal-Mart, they may not carry the line long.

People got cards at C2E2 that said 8/1 and in one of the NYTF interviews it was said that 8/1 would be when these showed up in Walmart.

I can say with full confidence I will never see these at Walmart. My local Walmart can go months before anything is put out and when they do everything is gone within hours. I wish they would have parented with Target who at least makes an attempt to stock shelves on the regular. I'll just gladly order everything from Ringside.

I wish they would have parented with Target who at least makes an attempt to stock shelves on the regular. You're aware that there are some areas of the country where the closest Target someone has to them is like ~an hour away, right? It's part of why people hate Mattel doing the store exclusives the way they are. Walmarts, despite some being absolutely horrible at stocking product, are much more common and if you want to start a new line at retail, you're probably gonna want it there first.

These being "exclusive" to Walmart is most likely because Target declined to carry them. I'm sure Jazwares would have been thrilled to sell more product in Targets, but it takes two to tango. But of the two, Walmart is definitely the better retail option. They have twice as many stores, and there's one within a reasonable drive just about anywhere in the county. I have 6 Targets within half an hour of me now, but when I lived in Ohio the closest Target was an hour and a half away. Meanwhile the town had not one but two Walmarts.

My tri-city area has 2 Walmarts within 30 minutes of each other, but the nearest Target is an easy hour away. And with the way b&m retail has been going, pretty much squandered any chance of landing one.

I'm totally fine crossing Target off my hunting list. The d-d-distribution problems there are real.

Lol Target stocks better than Walmart? No, your individual Walmart just sucks buttcheeks, the average Target is way worse than the average Walmart

I go to 3 different Walmarts on the regular and cannot find anything. They go weeks without putting anything out. I can go to Target and get UE and any new elites almost every Sunday. I guess its different everywhere but for me I know for a fact I will never see these AEW figures in a Walmart.

Aside from the Legends pre-orders, I don't think I've bought a figure at Target since mid 2019. Walmart has consistently been more current with series and better stocked, while the half dozen or so Targets I have were flooded with Top Talent or Bellas.

My two Walmart’s nearest me are bad a restocking. My Target is bad at restocking. The Walmart at the next city over is far better at staying stocked, and they have plenty of Elites/battle packs out for sell currently. They don’t appear to overstock either. Seems like they’ve got it figured out with the line.

I'd think that only having 1 line (instead of Elites, Basics, and Bps) should make re-ordering and availability better.

Any two-packs need to be online exclusives with box deco/moments geared towards collectors.

Certain 2-packs would be cool, but I think it'd be better if RSC or (god forbid they ever get in on exclusives) Amazon sold those. A $40 box set for 2 figures would die a death at retail.

Walmart is notorious for its horrendous distribution. I will be shocked if these are out on the said date, let alone in abundance.
