If AEW do decide to mix classic legends into future lines, would there be slim hope of us finally getting Owen Hart?
His widow wants nothing to do with the WWE hence never going with Jakks or Mattel independently but this is a completely separate company. I would absolutely love to see them reach out to Martha, some profits could even go back to his charity foundation.

Probably the same answer as when it was brought up in the Storm and Boss Fight threads...no.

She hates wrestling - everything to do with it. There's absolutely no chance.

Its not that she hates wrestling, she hates how the WWE represented themselves in that whole lawsuit, dear knows what lies were told in order for WWE to protect themselves, you cant blame the woman. If you want to see Owen theres plenty on the network of him, just because we havent gotten a figure doesnt mean, she hates wrestling. Its not as simple as that.

I firmly believe never say never in business. But this is about as close to a long shot as you're going to get.

I don’t think she ever liked wrestling. She loved Owen, and that was his family business, but that’s as far as it went. I don’t think she ever really liked the Hart family too much. Owen was a different breed from the rest of the family. Wrestling was his job, and it provided for his family, but it wasn’t his whole world. He was close to retiring when he died.

The only thing giving me slight hope is that Owen was in a few Legends of Wrestling games, but that was over 15 years ago, so I really doubt it's gonna happen.

The "I'm going to retire in two years" line has been said by many wrestlers, and very, very few ever followed through. Maybe Owen would have. But I think like for most athletes, it's such an all-consuming profession and lifestyle that it's really hard to walk away cold turkey. But he was only 34. I wouldn't have been shocked if he had stayed in wrestling for another 10+ years. I believe at some point he would have ended up with a world title run had he lived.

I doubt he'll show up in an AEW line. Storm or something like that is most likely I think. And due to his Wife's disdain for WWE, I can see a fig of him from his Japan or stampede runs being most likely

Im not sure i would want owen made by another company. Wouldnt the outfits be limited as to what they could choose? Any of his wwe outfits surely are copyrighted by them. So what does that leave other than bland looking outfits he wore that no one would recognize. The most iconic look for owen is rocket or slammy and i dont see those being made by another company.

He was smart with his money, cheap on the road, and close to finishing his family’s dream house. I honestly think he would’ve been one to walk away from the spotlight and be fine with that decision. Conventions and meet & greets weren’t as prevalent as they are now, so maybe he would be doing appearances today, but I think his full time wrestling career was close to being over. I also have a feeling Martha was pressuring Owen to retire as well. She always seemed like a pain in the ass who thought both of them were above wrestling.

It’s so annoying and then people act like you killed their firstborn child when you tell them a company that has never worked with Owen’s family and not even made all of their champions yet isn’t going to immediately pump out sixty Owen Hart figures

Or she’s mad her husband and childrens’ father was killed doing a stupid stunt for a comedy character. She was probably indifferent about it before that

It’s so annoying and then people act like you killed their firstborn child when you tell them a company that has never worked with Owen’s family and not even made all of their champions yet isn’t going to immediately pump out sixty Owen Hart figures It's even more annoying when you try to explain to them why a company like Storm isn't going to license Owen only to be met with people who think Owen Hart is going to outsell ing Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, much less the top-level characters from Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. I'm halfway expecting someone to come into this thread and unironically claim Owen would outsell all the Fortnite characters combined. I loved Owen, he was my favorite wrestler when I was little, but we're not getting anything with him any time soon, if ever again. His wife only let one company (Acclaim) license his image and that's because they fought to keep him and the tribute to him in Attitude. That HOF induction people hold on to was because she was told it was for his time as an amateur wrestler more than the WWF. The best chance we've got is if his kids decide they want their dad to be remembered and they allow someone to license him after Martha is gone...and even then, I'm not convinced those kids are gonna let it happen.
