Such a great idea too back in that era. If Ted can't win the WWE Title, he would just create his own WWE Title for himself. No better heel tactic than that when your character is a millionaire!

If they did that entire angle today with the over sensitive social media keyboard warriors, there would be so many talks about how it's a racist story line cause Virgil was black and was a 'slave' to the rich white man. And then for Heenan to say that, fans would say, "because he's black he had to have stolen it??"
No wonder wrestling was more fun back then. The whole point of wrestling was to hate the bad guys and cheer the good guys. It's probably why wrestling isn't fun anymore because there is no real reason to cheer anyone. You cheer now if they have a five star match with someone. Sad really.

excellent belt....always felt that getting hit was that was a legit knockout blow when I was a kid....Hasbro Ted used it all the time man....LOL
