"According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon re-wrote a bunch of Monday’s RAW broadcast. Some of his late re-writes included the debut of Erick Rowan’s pet spider, Ricochet’s loss to Riddick Moss and more. Vince reportedly re-wrote the script for Rowan’s cage reveal and wanted to have a big tarantula inside the cage.
McMahon also re-wrote the Ricochet vs. Riddick Moss match. That match was originally set to be Moss vs. R-Truth, which makes more sense with the storylines these past few months. McMahon instead changed R-Truth to Ricochet, who just worked a match with Brock Lesnar at Super ShowDown. Vince then insisted on a clean win for Moss, thus continuing the burial of Ricochet.
Vince McMahon also re-wrote Aleister Black’s gauntlet match with The Club, specifically handing Black his first loss on the main roster.
As you’d expect, there was some “eye rolling” backstage over the booking of Ricochet and Aleister Black. The problem is – nobody can do anything about it as Vince makes the final decisions.
Dirt sheet report so do with that what you will but assuming this is true which I can see, it does kinda surprise me that he would take away precious XFL time to come mess up RAW and flex his "authority"

You don't get a animatronic spider to appear out of thin air. That was planned for some time.

That was the problem with this hold thing to begin with, with the way the wrestlers who saw the thing in the cage were reacting if the audience didn't react the way they did then the whole thing was going to fail. And, you're right, it did not look that impressive.

Ugh that spider was so fake. They should've put a sphynx cat in there, it would at least make the terror reaction seem more like shock than having grown men act terrified of a Halloween decoration.

The Black losing in the gauntlet would be okay as long as it leads to Undertaker and Black vs. The Club in a handicapped match at Wrestlemania.
As for Ricochet, I legit figured he would win the 24/7 Title as a reward for being destroyed by Lesnar days earlier. I was wrong.
And as for the giant spider, it at least got people talking, so that's something.

In a semi-related matter, Vince is getting cold feet on Shayna Baszler being a top heel on Raw. Reports were she was originally expected to win the Rumble in January but was changed within the last week or two, with Charlotte getting the nod. And now he was not impressed with her match with Kairi Sane, that she didn't get the reaction he wanted.

Hearing all these rumors is real disappointing. It is an ongoing theme with VKM. Burying three talents that can very likely be major players and move WWE forward.....just stupid IMO.

Sounds like someone is running with the "Vince is bad and everything you don't like in life is his fault" excuse. Not saying it's not true, but it seems like the low hanging fruit for anyone trying to make up a headline.
I wasn't trilled with Ricochet losing either, but if they're going with the story of him still being banged up, it kinda makes sense. Had Ricochet went out there hit his flips and won the match easily, people would be complaining how no one in WWE sells. As for the spider, it was dumb. But chances are it was always going to be. If they go with "it's a toy that he thinks is real" it might be stupid enough to work. If they pretend it's real, then yeah, that's dumb. With Aleister... there is no way you can call that a burial. Dude was down three to one and still put up a hell of a fight. Had he lost to Anderson, a case could be made. But he took a beating and still was fighting back. Plus he lost to one of the best ever. So I'm sorry, if that's considered a burial nowadays then the internet is not for me. I'll move to the woods.

Personally I’ve never been big on Shayna. She’s alright, but I find her pretty boring in the ring. To me she doesn’t come across as vicious as she’s built up to be. I’m not advocating to completely disregard her just because I’m not a fan, but at the same time I’m not going to be upset over this one like other people would be.

Fact is 90% use it wrong and sound stupid.

Lol, sounds 100% reliable, and believable. Vince loves burying guys like this, you know, people in that company who actually have talent.

Opinions are opinions. Everyone has them. Sorry you do not agree (shrugs) I think it's all storyline. Ricochet posted on Twitter a bunch of pictures of him losing, then he loses that night on Raw to Riddick. I don't think it's a burial. I think it's a small losing streak gimmick that will turn him heel.
