In 2012 to early 13 Triple H decides to cut his hair to a length it had not been since before he started wrestling in 1992! I’ve always wondered why they didn’t do a match where losing would mean he would lose his hair during that period. Even more so considering he had just finished feuding with the Undertaker and there was room for a hot angle that wouldn’t be so damaging to his body as Hell In A Cell or No Holds Barred with Taker would have been.
Who do you think would have made sense as an opponent to put their hair on the line or something equivalent in value to that person like a mask or contract etc.

There was no need for a hair vs. hair match with Triple H involved to get his haircut. Everyone knew he was a higher up in the office for WWE in 2012, so it was only a matter of time before he cut his hair. Plus guys hair changes as they get older, and becomes more thin.
Example, Chris Jericho and Edge.
Look at their long hair now, and then go back 15 years ago and look at it. Totally different. For Triple H started to lose the volume to his hair, so why not cut it??

It still would have drawn money though. I know McMahon vs Oompa Loompa was a different deal, but there still would have been interested in seeing Triple H publicly embarrassed. Heck I wish they’d kept his hair long so during late 2013 he and Bryan could have had a hair match. That would have spared Orton from having to headline with Bryan three times and make everything that happened up to mania 30 mean even more.

considering triple h is one of the best for selling those big heel moments like it would be for him to realize he’s going to lose his hair and then selling it as it’s buzzed off, I agree that it was potentially a missed opportunity.

Gosh it's been so long since we've had a hair versus hair match. I would love to see one again! I think Corbin should have lost his hair in a match.

There should have been a hair match where the person that lost did so on purpose in order to get a free haircut on national TV

Tri would never do a hair vs hair storyline where he loses. I also don't care if he cuts his hair or not. It looks good at least, much better now with the buzz than he did at first with the crewcut.

The long wet dangling hair was Triple H's trademark so I never liked the fact that he randomly cut it without any explanation.
I know it was 1 year later but he should've cut it the night after Summerslam 13 when he turned heel on Bryan. The guys could've accused him of selling out and going full Corporate.

Honestly, shocked he never regrew it. Taker did, Edge did, Jericho, etc. I honestly wonder if he even can by now.
