Hi everyone, I was wondering if some Jakks experts could help me out with a couple of specific questions. I’m hoping someone can shed some light and also apologies for the large photo sizes. I discovered this prototype Undertaker head: I was wondering if anyone could identify this head as the same from the TTL Series 5 “Real Scan” Ministry Undertaker:
If it is, I was also wondering it that same head was also used for the Classic Series 3 Ministry Undertaker and the Classic Series Deluxe Undertaker:
I’ve been trying to stare at the details of this head and figure out if it is the exact same head or not, unfortunately there aren’t many great photos online. Any help is much appreciated! Thank you.

It certainly looks like it considering the beard and earring. But, the actual scan features remind me off a TTL Jakks Undertaker. The ones with the Ginger hair and ponytail. The way the eyebrows and features look, and the slight angered expression just seem like it looks like that a bit more.

Is this the figure you think it more closely resembles, if so, do you think it could be an un-released head?:

I'm not saying it's not the Classic one that it looks like it could be used for, but it's features remind me more of this one. I'm sure it's easy to sculpt the beard on for customisers, so i wouldn't say it's unreleased although it certainly could be. Who knows man.

Thanks again for your insight! Much appreciated.
I guess it's hard to tell from the photo, if anyone else has any insight that would be great too!

I can tell you CS3 and TTL5 are the same figure with slightly different paint job (cs3 has less accessories and eyes painted on)
The long hair on TTL5 is added rubber and your sculpt to me, definitely looks like the TTL5/cs3 scan and maybe they were trying to reuse the sculpt for a short hair undertaker at one point or it’s a prototype from before they added the rubber hair
The TTL5 taker hair was actually moulded on higher then normal so his cape would fit, so it actually looked awkward without the cape
I don’t know about the Deluxe classic figure, But I would assume it’s a new mould but just a similar scan since usually Deluxe figures had unique head sculpts

That confirms a few of my questions. You mentioned that the hair on the TTL5/CS3 Undertaker was moulded higher to accommodate his cape. I suspect the Deluxe Classic figure may have used the same head as TTL5/CS3, because from the side profile, the hair looks like it's sculpted kind of weird with a huge gap:

Pretty sure it's just the TTL5 / CS3 head. As stated, the "long" hair is actually a separate rubber piece. I'm guessing your prototype seems to be a "short" hair version because it's missing the long hair rubber piece. Perhaps because that part was rubber and not sculpted in hard plastic, it's not part of the prototype mold at an earlier stage.

I think you may be right as I see a slot on the top back of his head to insert the hair: Do you happen to know if the Deluxe Classics Undertaker uses the same head?

Also the cs3pk with Kane and bearer uses this head Totally forgot about that one! Thank you. So I guess this head was used multiple times, i'm still trying to figure out if that deluxe classic uses the same head.

It does yes, the CS 3-pack and CSDA has modified pegs in the head to allow better articulation. It was also used on this too which hasn’t been mentioned yet:
