Well, if nothing else - it will be unlike anything else we have ever seen... I assume with it happening at the PC, part of the insurance money has already kicked in (lost gate revenue). I suspect it takes 100s if workers to put on Mania, even at the PC... seems to go against the current advice re: gatherings of less then 10 etc. If a wrestler test positive - it is game over! I already have my back up plan ready to go (in the event itβs canned), going to watch Wrestlemania 7 and Wrestlemania 8 back-to-back.

Just curious, but does anyone actually feel like NOT watching Wrestlemania this year??
I tried watching Smackdown and Raw, and I can't take it serious when guys and girls come to the ring, to their music, with no fans, and get in the ring and cut a promo or have a match.
Also, I can't see the matches being that great. A lot of what makes a match great is the fans giving a reaction and the adrenaline the wrestlers get from that fan reaction. I just feel that this show is gonna suck, especially if it's 5 hours plus a 2 hour pre show.

Assuming they carry thru April 5 with no audience, it will be a point of irritation to not have the usual pushback for dumb booking decisions. You'll have Vince telling us who should be seen as pro- and antagonists thru the match booking and commentary, who will be even more boisterous to cover up the arena silence. But by not worrying how people will accept it immediately, he won't have any reservations to carry out his exact vision. And as I mentioned before, I'm wondering how the image of his grand event being presented in an empty arena would mess with Vince's psyche, and if it'd be enough to prevent a physical release down the road.

I doubt I'm gonna watch this WrestleMania. I have no interest in watching an empty arena WM event. It's gonna look like trash.

Apparently this may be an attempt to claim the insurance on damages.
Where WWE is showing they tried their best to relocate but ultimately Orlando could shut the event down too.
The current (or rumoured) plan is for this to occur, then WrestleMania to be held on June 7 in MSG.
(My short way of putting it)

I seriously hope Orlando forces them to shut this thing down completely. Just delay the freaking show to June, or July, so that it can hopefully be held with a live audience, in a proper arena, and so we can still have a HOF ceremony, and an NXT Takeover. Vince McMahon and his ego, man. Geez...

I appreciate the "show must go own" mentality, even in these unpredictable times. There's nothing else to watch on TV sports-wise, so to be able to still have live wrestling programming is at least SOMETHING. I was pretty bummed that Raw only featured one match. NXT supposedly will not have any matches. I figure SmackDown will end up the same with not a lot going on in the ring. Having matches without a crowd certainly sucks, but there's no alternative at this point if a match is to take place. If WrestleMania actually takes place on the 5th at the PC, I'll enjoy it for what it is and appreciate that they gave us a show.

I enjoy manias 5-10 (yes I like 9 lol) more then any other period in WWE history. Reminds me of my childhood I guess.. π€·ββοΈ

I should use this time to binge some Mania's I'm not too familiar with. First one I watched as a fan was WM19, and it's easily my favorite Mania all-time. WM17 may be the only one pre-19 that I've seen in full. Possibly 18, but I don't remember.

I normally just buy the network for the one month each year to watch WM as it's a special occasion but there's nothing special about it this year. I've also tried watching the shows so far in the PC but I'm bored beyond belief. It doesn't feel real. Like they're all just rehearsing and we get to see it. They're obviously limiting the number of people allowed in the building by how sparse the roster is on each show so I don't know how they'll suddenly be able to have everybody crammed into the back. Think this might be the thing that prevents it from happening.

Should have been postponed, regardless of part timer availability. Always about the almighty $ βthe show must go onβ

From what I heard, there was supposedly going to be sixteen matches in total, and two of those seem to have been cut completely. Great. So not only is it going to held in a small training room with no people, but now a bunch of matches are more than likely going to be cut. ππ€¦ββοΈ

apparently there was a fantasy booking idea going around online where the (the WWE) would hold one match in different small bar type buildings in lower populated areas in front of a really small crowd. think shotgun saturday night style....they would never do it but thats an interesting prospect to say the least.
i just dont understand why they dont put it on hiatus, schedule it for early June when there are no other PPVs on tap, and go from there. supposedly the concern is with it being too close to summerslam but really who cares? the fans sure wouldnt.
