if you’d actually listened to people who studied this and are working with this virus...people suffering...and people treating the sick. You’d know very well that this is NOT “the same thing” as the flu my friend. Not at all. But keep believing this is just a giant media panic or “vast left wing political conspiracy or whatever. dOnT mEsS wItH mUh WrEsTlEmAnIA Is your home currently overstocked on TP? Just curious. At this point it's pretty obvious the hand sanitizer companies engineered this whole thing and are counting their profits in an underground bunker somewhere...plenty of tin foil left on the shelves at least though to make hats with.😉

World Wrestling Entertainment has pulled the plug on this Friday's Smackdown taping in Detroit, Michigan and will instead broadcast Friday Night Smackdown and 205 Live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources. Are there even enough people in the audience at smackdown shows to be considered a mass gathering? 😄😆

The NBA just canceled their entire season. But, I'm not sure if it's because of the virus or fast food. well, one is a virus that while it isn't something to be ignored, isn't what is most likely going to wipe millions of people out. the other, fast food, causes heart disease which kills one in four americans. i think i'd rather take my chances with the virus.

Ya good with catching something with no cure, no vaccine, no human immunity, and no concrete grasp at its contagion factor, with no guarantee your medical system can bear the brunt of a full-out outbreak in your community? Even more, to passing it to your closest family and friends (some I assume must be in the category most at risk for developing serious, life-threatening symptoms) while you may not even be aware of carrying it?

I'm with you. 26 and healthy as ever. I'll take my chances with CV over being a glutton for heart disease. People freak out damn near every 4 years over a new virus. The media blows it out of proportion, certain business's lose stock value, the problem subsides, stock rises again, rinse and repeat. It's not a conspiracy, just an observation. What do you expect to do? Live your entire life afraid to interact with other people? No way to live. Death is certain, the privilege to live your life is not.

So with the Travel ban even if WM was gonna happen, about half the stadium would be empty....I kind of have a feeling we gonna see it moved to a later date.

Just read a statement from WWE that Smackdown in Detroit and other future shows are still planned to take place as scheduled, but contingencies are being set in place in the event municipalities or venues cancel.

The crowds are either drowned in dark, blue lighting, or blacked out altogether. Wasn’t really like this most of the time a couple decades ago. You could actually see the entirety of the (sold out) crowds 😉. Either way, there’s more people at Smackdown’s compared to Raw’s, which are almost always never sold out nowadays.

I'm with you. 26 and healthy as ever. I'll take my chances with CV over being a glutton for heart disease. People freak out damn near every 4 years over a new virus.. The difference here is obvious. The incubation period for COVID-19 is estimated to be 5 days, and people who have been exposed to it are recommended to be quarantined for 14 days. You're correct in guessing that at your age, you would likely recover if infected. However, for people 60 and older, the mortality rate is currently estimated at 10%. That is far greater than the flu, and COVID is highly contagious. A person could be carrying the disease and not yet showing signs of infection, but in the meantime infecting coworkers, friends, and family. So this is a much more serious immediate situation than any one person being a couch potato and setting himself/herself up for the onset of heart disease.

I think it's better to overreact to this situation than to under react. Maybe it's nothing but if it isn't then you cant have 80000 people from all over the world together.

Farnell Middle School in Tampa just closed for two days after an employee was in contact with someone who was exposed to Coronavirus, looks like the nail in the coffin I’m sorry to say.

This is something to take seriously...but not to completely halt life over. There's way too much uncertainty surrounding this for any supposed arm chair medical experts on a wrestling toy forum to chime in on what how serious this is or isn't. Go out and live your life. MAYBE they should postpone the show, maybe they shouldn't. At least a handful of attendees will have been exposed. That doesn't necessarily mean that 100,000 attendees will be infected. I'd be more worried for their parents and grandparents at home than for the vast majority of mostly younger attendees.
From a creative standpoint a postponement could be good or bad. They might have a chance to rethink this whole Goldberg/Reigns abortion, and might find something decent for guys like Ricochet and Aelister Black aside from the Andre Battle Royal.....they also might decide to replace Shayna as has been rumored, which hopefully won't happen. But to people on here just live your lives, wash your hands, and ffs don't wipe your ass any more than necessary. I'm almost out of tp and really don't want to buy it on ebay for Harley Race prices.

Update to the Tampa meeting: the city is taking a wait-and-see approach, and are not willing to cancel Wrestlemania themselves at this time. But they will reassess the situation in one week. wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/wwe-wrestlemania-is-still-scheduled-for-now/Seems like WWE and Tampa are playing chicken, wanting the other to make a first move. In a related note, two events scheduled to be held in the Tampa Convention Center (the venue for WM Axxess) have been cancelled, one of which would have run just prior to the opening of Axxess. There are also reports of a "positive test" coming from the venue.

Although Vince waiving concern for the health and well being of others, including the fans and his employees , in order for his grand creation to go off without a hitch and not even the smallest change in plans is the most Vince Jr. thing ever.
