Would the WWE consider holding WrestleMania at the NXT Arena!? They could completely control the atmosphere. If they really wanted to, the could put up green screens around the seating areas and add in the crowd. They'll have full control of the cheers and boos. They could prepare everything, and never have to worry about spoilers again. Botches would be a thing of the past. This could be a show about Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment, instead of a Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment show. It would be the WWE version of WMAC Masters and Lucha Underground.
The John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt match could have a lot of room for the Fiend's special effects. There's so much they could do with this. Editing could play a huge role in the storytelling. We could actually see the Fiend and Brat Wyatt next to each other.
The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles match could also benefit from an empty arena match. The OC going face to face with the Brothers of Destruction (Kane) and the Unholy Alliance (Big Show) or members of the Ministry of Darkness would be cool.
2020 has certainly been interesting so far.

Have some perspective. I really hope all of you saying this isn't a big deal don't lose anyone you love to this. People have and will continue to die from this. I think the city of Tampa needs to be protected from tens of thousands of people flying in to potentially expose the entire community and region because of Vince's sh*tty vanity project. The really scary aspect of this is that we only have historical outbreaks to give us any idea of how bad this will be, and how long it will last. I listened to some experts on various new networks this weekend and the consensus is that no one actually knows if COVID-19 will behave like previous pandemics and weaken with hotter weather. We hope it will, but there isn't a guarantee. We haven't seen the peak of it in the US yet, and there still isn't a vaccine. And if Vince thinks it's going to be business as usual on April 5th, he really has gone senile. The longer he waits, the worse WWE's public image looks. Also, it's logical to assume that there will be a widespread revolt among his talent if he tries to force them into a risky situation.

So Mania @ the PC?

there's no chance this is happening. nothing is going to miraculously change in 2 weeks time. im fine with vince waiting until the city declares a shut down, wrestling is just different from other sports. theres a LOT of money depending on wrestlemania, and its a mega event for both WWE and whatever city its going to. but this thing has taken a crazy turn and with all the shut downs/closures, etc. nothing is going to change in time.
better to shut it down now, plan for the next couple months and re-schedule 'Mania for a later time. all they need is 4 weeks to plan it out anyway.

Vince should just postpone Mania, heck postpone the TV shows in general. It says something to how serious this is when the majority of the major sports have suspended or cancel their season. WWEs gotta do the same. I'm sure USA and Fox wouldn't mind airing best ofs or different WWE content for a few weeks. Why risk the healths of the fans and wrestlers? Same with the indy promotions just hoping Mania will still happen. Just postpone it until we have this virus under control and then go ahead as planned.

This could maybe work out in their favour. Of they postpone it for a month or so, maybe they could actually get their 2 world champions to show up and we can get some actual build.

April 3rd SmackDown... Fiend vs. Cena and Goldberg vs. Reigns. Get the title off Goldberg, and then build to Reigns vs. Fiend whenever WrestleMania may be.

Does anyone know exactly what Vince McMahon is doing here? Is he holding out hope that a miracle happens and this resolves itself by March 31 or some such? It just seems unrealistic at this point.
I get that McMahon is a stubborn cat, but c'mon. They need to figure out a postponement plan at the very least.
I know it sucks, but it f'n sucks for everybody right now.

I think Vince is just being stubborn here and is not willing to break tradition. Just my theory. Either that or holding out hope that this situation is resolved by the end of the month, which seems unlikely right now.

Imagine a WWE Universe like WWE Immortals brought to life.

I'm wondering if there isn't some kind of insurance issue here and both sides are playing hardball in an attempt to gain or retain money. EDIT: Um. Yeah. This is exactly what I think is going on. If WWE canceled the show their coverage won’t kick in. Their coverage probably covers a natural disaster. The government would have to pull the plug for them to get paid out.

From the rumors I am hearing that Vince doesn't want to cancel and/or postpone the show and doesn't want to hold the event on a different date and still wants to have on the April 5th and also doesn't want to hold it in an empty stadium. This is the last the month of the first quarter and so far this year this totally sucks especially this month. # CoronaVirus

Its going to be canceled/postponed at this point all we're waiting for is which side pulls the trigger. It's simply a dollars thing right now. I'd venture to guess the reason there is no "official" announcement is because they havent finalized money.

Sure hope so - feel bad for all the shows that were supposed to go down. 🙏🏻 I feel bad for promotors like the WrestleCon team. I know they work crazy hard year round to make the event happen. There are some tiny, tiny indy shows running that have no business doing so, it's harder to feel for them.

Wow Mania from what I assume will be an empty performance center? This is gonna be nuts. Think they would have been better off postponing it tbh.
