I wish not to echo what others have said. I will say this:
Vince McMahon made the right move to continue with WrestleMania XXXVI.
I'll let this post age like a tasty bottle of wine.

The undertaker match was the weirdest, stupidest minutes of "television" i have witnessed in my entire life. Watch the last season of the office.

Part 1 definitely exceeded my expectations. Each of the matches was entertaining in their own right and I was surprised with how much I enjoyed the Boneyard Match. It was over the top and ridiculous but was so fitting of The Undertaker gimmick. Both he and AJ did a great job as did the production crew. I'm looking forward to how the OC is presented following this match. I feel like this will lead to some sort of in-ring rubber match for SummerSlam or Survivor Series.
There were also some genuine surprises on this show for me. I didn't expect Goldberg to drop the Universal Championship to Braun, and while it's a bit late I'm glad it's on a full timer again. Rollins vs. Owens was really great as well. They sucked me in with the DQ finish before restarting the match. The women's tag match was a very solid opener. Zayn vs. Bryan was fun and I'm finally coming around to Sami's coward character as long as he still gets some offence in during his matches to prove he can actually wrestle. The triple threat ladder match was also damn entertaining! I just wish the full teams could have participated in it.
The one thing I was somewhat disappointed in was Baszler not winning. I'm sure she will soon enough but I think it would have helped both her and Becky longterm if she won it last night. Even so, I still like Becky so not overly dissatisfied about the outcome.

I don’t understand the point of Baszler not winning. Why call her up, book her strong and then have her lose with a roll up. The match just did not seem to click. Even though the same happened with baszler and ember moon, I just do not see the crowd getting behind her anymore

Even though the same happened with baszler and ember moon, I just do not see the crowd getting behind her anymore Vince soured on her early due to her poor reactions. I think he thought that the Chamber match would change it around if they made her look unstoppable but it didn’t, the crowd still didn’t care for her.

Will Day 2 go on as planned in light of what happened to AJ? I’m guessing they will say he would have wanted to show to go on?

Why did the druids attack Undertaker? Everything else that was good was good and what was bad was typical WWE. But that question I cannot answer. I almost took it as a symbolic way of ending Deadman Taker when the Druid’s attacked him, leading into final run as Old Man Wolverine... I mean Old Mean Man Mark. I generally don’t care for the off site matches/shoots, but with no crowd for the other matches it made Taker/AJ more enjoyable to watch.

I have read this was an appropriate send off for Taker's active career. He always wanted to retire on a high note, and an edited cinematic happening could be the best he can manage with his advanced age and condition.

That boneyard match was something else. Just perfectly executed, fun to watch and exactly what I needed. Loved every second of it.
Rollins/Owens was fantastic too. I absolutely loved all the trash talking they did, it felt natural and distracted me from the lack of crowd. It felt like what guys would really be saying to each other in a fight. Plus the match itself was great.
Ladder match was solid, I give those guys credit for killing themselves and coming up with cool spots still. That match did suffer from no crowd though, but it was entertaining as hell and made Morrison look like a star.
Honestly the rest of the show, whatever. I liked the 24/7 little segment, and it was cool to hear JBL on commentary again. I went in with down emotions and zero expectations and they gave me overall an entertaining night. Here's hoping tonight delivers too.

I know the boneyard match was 80s corn, but I can't get over how you have like 8 guys/druids surround a dude and each go after him one by one lol it was B-movie corn

Only a matter of time before the fans turn on Becky. I mean she has had that title for so long but at the same time Becky has grown stale as The Man now that she has been champion for over a year.

Something I thought about today...
With as many times as Nash has been actively with WWE, the last match he had at a Mania was 12? Weird that he didn’t wrestle at 18 or any after that

Love this hybrid Undertaker who is an American Badass but still has the Deadman powers...AJ, Gallows and Anderson got what they deserved

As fun as the "Boneyard Match" was last night no way in hell does Taker end his career on that note. Not being a real match but more of a segment/angle and even more so not wrestling in the ring in front of thousands of fans.

The undertaker match was the weirdest, stupidest minutes of "television" i have witnessed in my entire life. I say that every week about AEW Dynamite. That said, the Boneyard Match was the best main event in Mania history.
