Besides being a great heel during his early solo years, Another reason I really like 90s HBK is Sherri singing his theme. Classic.
Fun fact, I recently found out that Jimmy Hart wrote Shawn Michaels theme. He calls it his greatest accomplishment. Yeah Jimmy wrote a lot of those old WWF/WCW songs back in the day. His days in the Gentrys really payed off!

I love all of his work, for I grew up with the return run.

90s HBK. Character work alone wins this out for me. It’s too bad Shawn was against going heel during his return. I know he was “born again” and playing his legendary character (similar to Taker), but his brief heel turn against Hogan in 2005 showed he still had what it took to be a top heel if he wanted to.

90s Shawn. When the hair was in full flow and the ego was out of control, super kickin and droppin the elbow.

Shawn Michaels is the Garth Brooks of WWE. Undertaker is Johnny Cash.

It's honestly harder to pick than you would think. 90s Michaels is on a lonely tier with few other people in terms of delivery and performance. It's hard to ignore when he threw hissy fits in matches. Later career Michaels is impressive in that he didn't lose that spark, but was also probably the most consistently good wrestler during this time. Also his one hissy fit against Hogan was highly enjoyable.

Early 90’s heel hbk is really the only gimmick of his I liked. I always thought his push to be heavyweight champ was a joke and partly why I left wwf for wcw
