Serious question. If you only buy figures of women wrestlers, or mostly women wrestlers, what's the rationale? No hate, just genuinely curious. Personally I dont see it as being any different then buying only CM Punk figures or buying only Legends. Its a niche that you're into. Now that said, there's some people that buy them that I think go a little to the extreme. When you start sanding their gear off to make them naked, adding custom clothes and doing custom "real" hair....That kinda creeps me out a little bit. All in all I find guys buying little plastic toys of busty women less weird then guys buying little plastic toys of men in their underwear. I personally collect both. This is a heck of a way to put it. Although, with that said, I really have to question if any girl on the planet ever played with those dang "Divas" dolls. Those are an absolute plague upon my personal existence. I wish there was a way to filter them out of search results, because half the time when I go online looking for secondhand figures, I find loads of those barbies and I just want to break something. When I was a member of the target audience for these things, I was playing with Ninja Turtles. Even if I had been into wrestling as a young child, I cannot think of a single moment where I would be into those. But maybe I'm was just too much of a tomboy for fashion dolls.

I have many rules, and they go in order of significance. (Ex. Rule 1 trumps Rule 2, Rule 2 over Rule 3, and so on) Rule 5: Generally avoid brand-themed attire Rule 6: Aim for figures that include entrance gear Rule 7: Elite style figures only unless the only figure available is a basic I also avoid the brand themed attire, it was the reason I didnt purchase the Alecia Fox network figure. Good point.

I buy wrestlers I like and stick to elites. If there isn’t an elite release, like Matt Riddle or Keith Lee, we’ll get it. If I like the gear, we keep multiples of wrestlers. If the new release is better than the old one, the old one is sold off or traded away a. We just about open all of them. My kids and I play with some of them. Some are on display. Some are used in our figure fed at the link in my signature.

I really don't have any rules. If I like it, I buy it.
It can be a slippery slope - my collection is larger than I ever expected. But at the same time collecting fits comfortably in my budget, doesn't impact my ability to do the other things I enjoy in life, and it makes me happy.

I collect loose Elites only since they changed the arms on Basics & BPs.
I no longer watch WWE, but I like getting Elites of guys I followed in PWG, RoH, etc if the figures look cool. I have zero use for talent developed inside WWE over the last several years.
For Flashbacks I get every Macho Man and depending on the figure Elites from the Ruthless Aggression era (both Hurricanes will probably be my last ones for a while). My sweet spot is WM X-7 to 2007-ish.
I'm going to be all in (no pun intended) on the AEW figures. Can't wait to get my hands on those.

Mostly just loose Legends elites. Don’t get much into the basics unless it’s a BAF. I used to have shelves up for my collection but once I took those down I have a bunch of my stuff MOC Bc I’m to lazy to open it

Kind of a weird rule and I'm not sure why I do it but I only buy wrestlers if I know their finisher. Hasn't held me back a ton honestly

Retros: All of them. Absolutely all of them. Minimum of two each - one to open and another to keep MOC. Also recently started buying more of them as I’ve accepted that at some point I will start customising again as I did with the Hasbros 20 years ago(!!). I will go above and beyond to get these guys - overpaying on UK sites, importing from the US with inflated postage and ludicrous customs charges; whatever’s necessary. Just bring them back Ultimates: I tried to collect these from the start as I want to support Mattel as they do brilliant work (for the most part) but didn’t want to start collecting a line that was already 10 years old and impossible to catch-up on. Now it seems like UK high street stores are giving-up on Ultimates, so I doubt I’ll go much further - the harder it gets to collect, the less worth it it is. Elites/Basics: I don’t collect Elites, except those that I have already collected No Basics either, but that’s a rule I’ve stuck to so far. The Elites I have bought are probably only about 5 or 6 at this point, less than 10 certainly. I know they’re great, but it’s just too hard to collect them at this point. If I see something special in front of me then sure, but otherwise no. If I did make a decision to collect some special Mattel guys then it would be the Hart Foundation - but the UK won’t get Anvil, the DM Bret and Legends Bulldog are crazy expensive, as I think is the Legends Pillman, and of course we all know the line-up will never be complete, so I’ve not pulled the trigger on that yet; but that’s still a firm “maybe”

For my Mattel Championship Title Belt collection, there are rules, and then there are exceptions.
Rule # 1 Championship Title Belts must be shiny VAC Belts.
Exceptions Championship Title Belts that do not currently have a shiny VAC version. - Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Championship Title Belt - Hardcore Championship Title Belt - Daniel Bryan's "Eco-Friendly" Planet's Championship Title Belt
Rule # 2 One of each. I display them with the Mattel and the WWE Shop kids sized counterparts. If there isn't a kids sized version, I display them on figures.
Exceptions I have more than one of each of the following for different reasons. - 2 Winged Eagle Belts (I put shiny plates on a white strap for my Arkham City Two-Face) - 2 Big Eagle Belts (one to display with the Rock and one to display with Undisputed Champion, Chris Jericho) - 2 Big Scratch Belts (Mattel and WWE Shop both made kids sized versions) - 2 Big Network Belts (without plates) (Mattel and WWE Shop both made kids sized versions, which were then replaced with the version with plates) - 3 Big Network Belts (with plates) (Mattel and WWE Shop both made kids sized versions, and Mattel made a 2nd version with interchangeable side plates featuring John Cena) - 2 Big Red Belts (Mattel and WWE Shop both made kids sized versions) - 4 Big Gold Belts (Mattel and WWE Shop both made kids sized versions, and one to display with Undisputed Champion, Chris Jericho, and I preferred customizing my own nWo Belt) - 2 Raw Women's Belts (Mattel and WWE Shop both made kids sized versions) - 2 Smackdown Women's Belts (Mattel and WWE Shop both made kids sized versions) - 2 NXT Belts (original version) (Mattel and WWE Shop both made kids sized versions) - 3 NXT Belts (current version) (Mattel and WWE Shop both made kids sized versions, and they didn't make the current NXT Women's Belt, so I have to settle for this temporary fill in) - 2 of every Tag Team Championship Title Belt (for obvious reasons) - Any Championship Title Belt that had the logo updated from Scratch to Network (Intercontinental with the white strap, United States, Diavs, and Penny Tags), or, in one specific case, the color change on the swoosh (Cruiserweight)

I just collect legends, basically anyone who I liked or watched pre-2003 (around the time that WWF went to WWE I stopped watching wrestling, it just wasn't as fun as it use to be). I collect MOC but I do have some loose. I collect mostly Elites but I will pick up a basic if it looks good or the wrestler is in an attire that I liked.

I generally try to buy one of each person/gimmick as an Elite. Sometimes I'll grab an extra to open if it's someone I really like, they are easy to find or on sale. I need to streamline my collection a bit, space is becoming an issue.

None, I buy what I like. From E38 Adam Rose all the way to FB King Harley Race. I collect a bit of everything. The only thing they have in common is I let them breath.

I mostly collect -1996-1999 era for WCW vs NWO. -1998-2000 WWF -Late 80s/Early 90s WWF -I dont mind having multiple versions, I buy what ever pops to me. It has to stand out among other figures.
Mattel only for display, jakks for parts. I nees them to be realistic sizes to each other. I search height and weight of wrestlers before I buy parts to customize. [Example: Ultimate warrior is almost a perfect match for 1999 scott steiner.
-I also buy many basics and other elites for parts.
No real rules, but those are what i generally look for.

- I never spend more than $30 on a figure (mainly exclusives) if I can’t find it in stores.
- get people im a fan of, from all eras.
-let a couple figures I’m iffy on sit in my cart for a while to see where their value ends up on the shows. If they dwindle or just fall off, then I don’t need them.
- when it comes to the main hitters (people they make more than 1 of every few sets), then I have to justify if I need the attire or need to update a figure on the main shelf.

I stopped buying people who have passed away. I play with my figures and just can't stretch my imagination enough to include dead men. I have a few, but those were from when I was just collecting anything and everything WWE. Like you slowed it down due to having a wife and 3 munchkins. They love the figures and play all the time.

To go with the branded attire discussion, I dislike having figures from very specific matches. Like I dislike the KO Mania figures, as well as Heenan in he white and gold suit.
I always want more "typical" representations of people, with a few exceptions. I will buy any Bret, Jericho or Eddie figures. E67 Rey is probably the most overtly match specific figure I have. I was so happy when Fan Central Heenan came out and I didn't have to grab the HOF one anymore.

You're basically only cutting AOP, Velveteen Dream, Mandy Rose, Sonya DeVille and...? I guess Cena, Miz, Batista, Orton, depending on how far back you go.
