Are you using coax cable or av? I have access to both and tried both, but what I think is the problem is that I bought the tape from someone in Australia. It may not be compatible with my VCR. It indicates on the back it was made in Hong Kong, but I assume they likely may have made it for that region's VHS players. I tried another tape I have and it plays. It is just a garbled mess when I try this tape. Aboslutely because it's a different region lol.

So... what’s the solution? Gonna buy a Hong Kong vcr? I read that aiwa made a vcr that digitally converts the various different signals... can’t let this go by the wayside. We’re all dying to see the video.

I'd be very surprised if it wasn't intended for use there. If its garbled, you will need a PAL compatible VCR. Are you in the US?

I am in the US and find that the players for PAL and the other formats are expensive.
