Drakz won. Congratulations champ.
I'm sure you'll tell the tale of how you dominated me from pillar to post until the match came to the inevitable conclusion you promised everyone in the build up, conveniently omitting the fact that it was through no act of yours nor mine that led to your victory. It was all due to one mistake by my over eager and somewhat paranoid manager. A mistake that cost me everything.
When my knee hit the ring apron I knew right then and there that the match was over. My fight became less about winning and more about getting out of it with some semblance of my pride intact, being able to hold my head up knowing I gave it literally everything I had despite being a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.
I don't blame Drakz. He capitalized on the situation. Sure, he was like a vulture circling a dying man in the middle of the dessert just waiting to claim his dinner but that is his nature... and the nature of our business. You wait for a moment of weakness and when it appears you pounce. I would have done the same had our situation been reversed.
I don't even blame my manager Daphne... although I have every right to. She's doing enough of that all by herself. She hasn't stopped crying and saying "I'm sorry" every time we're in the same room.
But enough about the match. There's no use crying over spilled milk. It's time to look to the future and what it holds for me.
Surgery.
Rehab.
Many many questions about if I'll return. Not when... IF.
As my doctors put it, the knee is a "f***ing mess". They'll try to fix it but they won't even promise that I can walk without a limp after surgery. Wrestling again isn't even in the discussion.
So for now this is good bye. I flew too high and got burned by the sun.
Before I depart, I have one request of Drakz. Don't treat the International Championship like an afterthought just because you are the World Champion. I'd like to think that between Brennan and myself we made the International Championship mean something over the past four years. We turned it from a stepping stone into a destination in and of itself. Carry on in that tradition. Don't piss on it because you think it is beneath you. Wear it with pride, defend it with whatever passes for honor in your sick twisted mind, and make damn sure that if someone does take it from you that they earned it!
