I think we can all agree that Mr Perfect was horrifically used in his 2002 return, but one thing I've never understood is why he wasn't the first go-to when they were adding bodies to the NWO after Hogan was given the boot at WM18?
He was a big name, he'd just made his return, he was working as a heel, he was a former high profile NWO member, on the same brand and they were doing nothing with him.

I remember reading that Nash didn't want to expand the nWo to guys who were never in it & wanted Kid & Show back in there but Hennig wasn't mentioned.
As I say I think he was in the bad books man from something that happened in March backstage 🤷♂️

Perfect was too busy being all drugged up and slurring his speech on live Raw shows to join the NWO. Watch the match he had with Tazz on the Raw Draft Night. He seems so out of it.

I don't think Mr.Perfect was ever a good fit in the nWo and honestly should have been in the Four Horsemen instead.Plus at the point in 2002 Mr.Perfect was pretty much a shell of himself in the ring with his drug issues and age.

Shame his demons got in the way from him getting another good run in the company. Him having one more run with the IC Title would've been great.

There probably wasn't enough trust there to use him right man....from all accounts He was in full on party mode when he was back there. Vince was impressed with his showing and crowd reaction at the RR but he seemingly was only there for a paycheque and made that known.

But He wanted to be in the nWo….had zero interest in being in the 4H. It was only ever a setup for the turn.

If Perfect didn't get that one more run in 1993 at SummerSlam, then no way was he gonna get it in 2002.

I am more angry that his US Title reign in WCW didn't have more of a meaning than just beating up the Horsemen. Beat Mongo, beat Flair, lost to DDP. That was it. Imagine if they did Hennig vs. Hart for the US Title in 1998?? It would have been amazing!

Yeah he at least should've been champ until March in which he would drop it to Bret at Uncensored. It would've been a nice throwback to SSlam 91 just this time with the US belt.

Perfect was pencilled in as KOTR winner but Vince gave it to Bret to keep him sweet because Hogan didn't want to work with him at Summerslam as promised
