That Pac and Hernandez look great. How do these Marvel figures scale to Mattel? Especially interested in Shark Boy. Shark boy is pretty close to scale. His head comes up to about shoulder height to someone like Jericho and just a pinch shorter than Drake Maverick. Not sure if he scales accurately though, but he fits in imo. Definitely one of my favorite figures, even if his arms look a little too long.

I agree -- that looks like the best X-Pac I've seen. It looks so good I thought it was just a proto. Did it ever get released?

It was only a proto. Never got released sadly along with the others pictured.

I thought so -- it looked way too good, like a hand-made figure

In other news, I regret passing up on the NWA and X Division title belts recently. Looked like they were in good shape and a hell of a price considering the going rates nowadays.

Oh so just a prototype. They changed the 2 pack attires a lot, I know the Triple X set had different attires on the packaging I wouldn't say a prototype since there's a few out there. Not sure how many there are though, but over the years I've only seen like 3.

Hernandez not getting released is such a huge bummer. Such a great looking figure.

Speaking of unreleased figures, I also thought the Tomko figure would have been a nice addition too. After all, we only ever gotten a couple of figures of him (Jakks RA) if I'm not mistaken.
Strange question: has anyone ever tried to remove the Sting figure's face paint to make a MEM Sting custom? I feel like it could be a simple but cool custom idea.

Random question out of curiosity: is it just mine, or does every Alex Shelley have a clicky ab crunch? It's so obnoxious, but it could just be the one I have. Same with mine. The ab crunch is extremely stiff and clicky. The waist on mine is so loose that his legs are like helicopter blades. On a different note, why hasn't any other figure company been able to replicate the articulation perfection that is figures like Elix Skipper, Jeff Hardy, or Jay Lethal from this line? Mattel Elites and AEW figures are certainly an improvement on old Jakks figures, but still are lacking in truly great articulation.

Not going to lie, I know the newer figures look more aesthetically pleasing, but these Marvel TNA figures are like crack for your hands. They just feel more fun to play around with. I guess that just has to do with me hating the Mattel's hip articulation (too stiff, sometimes even locks up if they have ratchet joints). I loved the Jeff Hardy figures, but they made him too tiny and thin compared to everyone else. P.s. only nitpick about some figures' hip joints in this line were how they were hinged rather than ball jointed. For instance, the 2 pack AJ Styles. Because his hips were designed this way, the logos on his shorts had to be repositioned. The prototype pictures actually had it placed more accurately funny enough.

I don't know why I just thought of this, but did anyone else have problems with any their figures breaking as the years go by? I have had my Monty Brown, Kip James, R-Truth, and Lance Hoyt figures all break at the hip. Like the socket part just breaks down and eventually cracks and the leg falls off.

The closest I have experienced was the hip area breaking down (ball joint style; ex. the Sting w/Trenchcoat), but I feel like that was from abuse on my end as a kid. Now Jakks RA shoulder sockets... That's where I experience something similar way too often even today.

Finally managed to find a Best of Series 2 Styles. Just got it in the mail today. Not in perfect condition (used condition and missing elbow pads), but considering how hard it is to find, I'm happy to have it at all!
Now I am just awaiting a lot of 3 I purchased yesterday.

I always wished Toybiz had the WWF/E license instead of Jakks. Imagine all the great figures we'd have in their style.

You should see some of the customs that have been done by Texacide. He did a few WWE guys and they looked pretty cool imo: forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/324585/old-toybiz-customs

I was just talking with a friend the other day about how I wish I could see what whould have happened had Toybiz picked up the WWF in 1996 but honestly, I'm glad things played out the way they did with Toybiz landing WCW. I liked WCW more as a kid (and this was around the time I discovered ECW on TNN and the OSFTM figures dropped at stores and I honestly liked those way more than the WWF toys too), so finally having the WCW figures be the better, more playable figures was nice for a change.

I'm hoping to do a fix-up soon. Just need to order one more figure and experiment further with part swapping to see if my idea will work.
It's pretty interesting how there were so many unique parts made for specific figures and at the same time how certain people shared the exact same parts.

I loved the articulation they had at the end of the line. I think between the marvel tna figures, and the jakks r3 tech figures, those 2 lines shaped what our basics and elites came to be. In the same sense, mattel elites have set a standard for articulation in wrestling figs, and scale, with super 7 and jazawares. Just my thoughts, lol
