Has Aiden English been up to anything in the past like two years? He went from being a big part of why Rusev Day got as over as it did, they split them up for really no reason, and then last I heard he was a commentator for 205 Live(?).
I'm not happy for anyone to lose their job but I'd be lying if I wasn't looking forward to what Gallows & Anderson can do now. Bullet Club baby!

All Vince McMahon cares about is money. He doesn't care about people or families. He truly is just an evil, rotten, piece of sh*t. I was talking about this via text with @ham, how is WWE in such financial ruins after only 6 weeks? This whole thing seems like just an excuse to fire people and trim fat and save even more money. WWE has been so against firing anyone because they thought it would make them look bad as a "job creator". I'm sure these are people WWE has wanted to get rid of for a while. Now they have an excuse.
It's really hard to be a fan of WWE when all they care about is money and care so little about the physical health, and financial well being of the performers who risk their lives.
I think I'm done with WWE. Maybe once Vince is dead I'll circle back around. I just can't support it right now.

Nobody is producing new content and WWE isn’t getting cash flow from Live stadium events so I’m sure it’s for that reason They lost around $25 mil from 'Mania this year. And from every indication I've seen live events are mostly a wash and aren't a major part of their income. WWE is almost completely propped up by the TV and blood money revenue. Like I said, unless they're not paying this is a really bad look from WWE. This is not a bad look. It's business. It is what needs to be done. Most of these people do not get used anyway. Everyone is cutting costs at this point. What makes WWE any different?

Cue the "Is this gonna affect the Drake Maverick Elite?" questions. Does this mean we owe an apology to the member who created the thread about roster cuts? LOL doubt it.

Ultimately, all exec's only ever care about is money. It's literally their entire job. But when it becomes the case that people do things like this, and refuse to support companies that don't prioritize those things like health and well-being, they ultimately have to take some social responsibility in order to get more money, and that's the road they'll take. Until the majority of their audience casts their vote like this, things like this will keep happening. In short, if you do want the performers to be better looked after, this is the correct response.

Their production costs are at an all time low, so unless they're releasing people who asked to be released it's a really sh*tty move.

I just don’t understand how any of you can justify keeping jobbers on the roster and people who are barely used?
“They have families!?!?!?!”
Great, so do most people, that doesn’t matter. Why should the company pay for someone to sit on their ass every day?
If anything, this is what should’ve been done ages ago. There’s too many guys on the roster, WAY to many that are barely used or not used at all, it’s a waste of money. Period. That’s the end of the story.
If someone is costing you money instead of bringing it in, you get rid of them.

There's no way to look at this without a level of suspicion. Yes, it is a business. But the fact they've donated to politicians a few days ago, then deemed an essential service, only to go on to mass firings/layoffs, looks bad on paper any way you slice it.
It's a lot of smoke.
WWE has needed to clear house for years now and this is going to end up a huge positive for the wrestling business. It's a shame it has to come with such seemingly shady and nefarious means though.

They could potentially lose their current TV deal if they do not produce enough live shows. You have no idea what goes into their day-to-day business. No one knows how long this could last. They, as a business, need to prepare for the worst. It definitely sucks for the talent, but it was going to happen eventually.
