VERY sad to see Hawkins and Ryder gone. Going to AEW makes sense for them more than the others. They are social media savvy and can help promote the AEW toyline |

Damn shame to see so many talented people released. Some are more surprising than others that's for sure. But rather than acting like I know WWE's finances, I'll just be feeling sorry for them (and everyone else in the country having similar issues). The situation sucks. Simple as that. You can @ me. A lot of these guys also most likely don’t get paid yearly, I know there’s different contract styles, so I’m sure it’s playing a factor If they weren't getting a guarantee, they're wouldn't be getting released. |

The most surprising names so far for me are Gallows & Anderson considering they were part of a prominently featured stable on TV and a fairly big part of WrestleMania this year. Drake Maverick is also surprising given they just announced him for the interim Cruiserweight Championship tournament. Glad to see he'll still be able to compete in his matches for that. Regardless, it's very unfortunate for anybody affected by this situation. The silver lining is I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the talent, producers and writers are brought back once the pandemic has eased up.

With no live events for the foreseeable future, they are set to lose millions, TV deals and blood money can only cover so much. Feel terrible for everyone released.

AEW shouldn't be hiring people right now, the wrestling business isn't doing great right now. Vince McMahon & The Khan Family are worth Billion of Dollars and have to pay their staff but right now there isn't much money coming in right now, no ticket sales and I doubt people are being anything from their web stores and plus they are relying on their television rights money.
