They were wrestling figures so no matter what I was gonna get them. But looking back, these kinda stunk. This is like 2002 so I was 11-12 years old and still playing. The playability was not good. The joints were all tight with no mobility so you could really do much.
I do have fond memories of finding that nWo set at KB and getting the 2 Hogan’s. The fond memories of this line pretty much stop there.

The R3 figures got me back into collecting. Jakks totally lost me with the horrid TTL figures. I've always appreciated the R3 figures so thanks for the video!

The joints were all tight with no mobility so you could really do much. I do have fond memories of finding that nWo set at KB and getting the 2 Hogan’s. The fond memories of this line pretty much stop there. Ya I don't really have fond memories either absent finally finding Chuck at a KB Toys, on sale for 4.99, on a trip to visit my sister at college...probably 3-4 months after I had been looking everywhere for him...and maybe getting the Hulk Still Rules boxed set (I can't remember how I got it) since there weren't K-Marts near me and i desperately needed that updated red and yellow hogan. I was happy when I was able to find ring gear nWo nash left amongst the stragglers when that set came out (since he was the main guy I needed anyways with Hall out of WWE and Hogan wearing red/yellow). But the figures sucked so much to play with and were so out of scale, that I look back and am upset that I even purchased the figures (especially R3-2 Edge when I could've gotten Summerslam 01 in the same attire, but the stupid cross logo on his crotch that made the R3-2 attire way more accurate was what made me do it). I more so have disappointment when I think about the line because I was never able to find UCF 3 Rhyno or the KOTR Brock that came out with the last wave of R3 figures. I was an active member on WF at that time so I knew nothing great was coming through the pipeline and there wasn't much of a desire to figure hunt or look forward to anything. Updating guys I had in TTL form wasn't really much of a priority for me since the R3 version was nothing special (the ring gear HHH was thin and cut for a guy who was absolutely massive from the roids at the time). I mentioned in a post in another sub-board how I thought I was done collecting if I ever got a Brock and rhyno...since there really was no one else to get...maybe I would've eventually gotten lower card guys I didn't own like maven/Tajiri/Storm/Spike. But after getting RA 1 (minus Brock who was my first online purchase for the exorbitant price of $15, $21 after shipping), I was reinvigorating because they were so much better to play with and every series was all new wrestlers.

Just received the Draft Angle and DDP/Christian 2 pack. Never had them as a kid but after looking at them for a bit I pulled the trigger. DDP is a disappointment due to the lack of tattoos but his sculpt, as well as Angle and Christian as a whole, are great. I’d even say that the R3 Angle and Christian figures still hold up today against Mattel figures. It’s interesting to see Jakks attempt a more true scaling with their figures but totally abandoned that with the RA line.
These figures are great after playing with some again and just makes me disappointed Jakks didn’t continue to develop the R3 line further.

I loved r3! Bummed we never got that Hurricane or Lance Storm. Could've sworn I read about a Mr. Perfect too, but I never saw a proto. I've one of each character except maven

So I saw on Twitter, for the first time, they had some Japanese R3 exclusives that came with an Xbox preorder
They might just be re-releases but it’s still some new R3s that weren’t regularly reported

The back arch drove me nuts! Also some of their legs wouldn't move in the sitting position. Little play ability
