I have been collecting Mattel since the beginning and I've missed out on a lot for various reasons. Some were US exclusives (I'm in Canada), some I simply couldn't find at retail and others were just too expensive when I saw them.
I won't name them all but here are my most wanted:

Of those with figures, Texas Tornado, Martel, Akeem, and Bundy are my only major characters missing. Prices are just too high to make it worth picking up. Of the guys who don't have figures, the list is ridiculously long. Luckily customs are starting to fill in the missing parts of my collection, and I'm hopeful that AEW will get into the legends game. I'm not optimistic that we'll see many new wrestlers in the Mattel line. I was thinking the same thing about the toy company doing AEW making a legends line. That would be really cool. Doing flashback figures of guys they have under contract (Taz, Tony, JR, Jerry Lynn) are probably a given. But I'd love to see them sign other guys to figure deals. Raven, Dreamer, R&R Express, etc. |

Golden Era shelf is missing Hogan, Demolition, Piper and Martel.
New Generation shelf is missing 1-2-3 Kid (holding out for a better attire, I hate that 1993 look). Hoping for Jarrett, Owen Hart, Godwins, Smoking Gunns.
Attitude Era shelf is missing Shamrock, Bossman, Eddie, APA. Hoping for Val Venis, Test and Gangrel eventually.

Honestly? There are more holes in my collection than fills.
There are at least ten or so Shane figures I need. I haven't even re-done my McMahon shelf yet, but eventually I want to display all my McMahon and there are so many, Jakks and Mattel that I'm missing. I have the WM Basic coming tomorrow, so that's a good addition, albeit flawed.
Vince McMahon LJN MOC will forever be one of the biggest holes in my collection. I remember in 1999 when I was searching on a fledgling eBay for that figure and it was 75 dollars MOC. But, alas, I was a teenager and 75 dollars was a fortune for me. Fast forward to now, and yeah I'm never getting that figure.

Due to not collecting until a couple years ago I wish I had the following:
-All CM Punk elites
-All Orton elites
-All Edge elites
Not sure if there's a wrestler out there that I don't have ANY of that I really wish I had. I suppose John Morrison would top that small list.

The figures from the original Legends line that I’m missing are what bother me the most because they’re ungodly expensive and you gotta pick and choose your spots to buy any of them at a decent price (which doesn’t exist for LOD or Demolition or the Matty Exclusives). Still mad I didn’t buy the Matty figures when RSC had them.

Kassius Ohno - and now that hole will never be filled. Also, Jake Roberts - but the only one I wanted was... well guess which one? Apart from that if I don't have it, then I've either missed out/waited too long to buy - or I simply have no interest or love for the character/wrestler. I don't own a single Banks, Bayley, Ryder, Ziggler, Cesaro, Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, or Morrison figure. Despite owning most Jeff's, I don't have any Mattel Matt Hardy's (do have JAKKS), and I never pulled the trigger on the recent WM elite. I would've bought the 'Ultimate Deletion' set... so much for that.

Hasn't been released but I'd go with Grandmaster 2 Sexay. I have a custom as a place holder but an official release would feel complete.

I havent been able to buy any figures for a year (and still cant until after the summer) so my collection has lots of holes at the moment.

I dont have holes in my Elite collection, but I wish I could have added wrestlers if they had the attires I liked.
Ex:
Ken Shamrock -(in Blue)
Scotty 2 Hotty -(black and white attire and also a Grand Master Sexay to go with it)
Adam Cole -(War Games)
The New Day -(I haven't liked any of the attires released. I liked the Orange owl, pink and blue unicorn or green Ice Cream attires)
Braun Strowman -(the next upcoming releases had a winning chance but they havent gotten his boots and leg size right. It bothers me enough not to buy it)

Chyna will complete my DX. A suit Rude would be great to have but I doubt we’ll ever get that.
They need to do a Grandmaster Sexay figure.
With Brood Christian coming out I need to local one of those flashback Edge’s from that era. Hopefully we get Gangrel.
I have no Rey Mysterio figures. No Mark Henry. Brood Christian will probably be my first one of him. I have the Singh Bros but no Jinder. Wish I picked up Nation Rock and Farrooq and Nation Henry, D-Lo is lonely. Need to get the rest of the Undisputed Era to go with Cole. Need to find Gorilla to go with Heenan. Either Wolfpack or Outsider Nash to go with Scott Hall. Still missing Dain and Wolfe to complete Sanity.

My biggest was an Elite Hurricane and WM19 Jericho. I'm so happy to finally have those! Honestly, it's a bunch of stuff that Mattel hasn't made.
Right now, it's a Jeff Hardy from the Raw Ladder match with Undertaker.
