Over 25 years (Not counting the remake which is exceptional as well) and we finally have this new game and...it's fantastic. It's like they gave the Sonic Mania treatment to Streets of Rage. I've got it on PC and man it runs so smooth. Love the art, dig the music, and apparently there's a ton of secrets I've got to find which will be fun. I only really miss a couple of the quality of life improvements from 3 that were removed (Running, dodging) but that really doesn't hurt the game either. Adam's probably my favourite to play as, so glad to have him back. So, who's also playing this? Where's my sega boys JC Motors and TurboEddie at? I don't care if this just turns into a three-man circle jerk but it's gotta be said, this game is fantastic.

I don't think he composed the whole soundtrack, but there's some great stuff on there. The track that plays on the elevator level is fantastic. Rising Up it's called. EDIT: Found it

I pre-ordered the physical version from Limited Run Games so I won’t get to play this for another two months at least.

Man, I was so tempted by that but the shipping to Canada would have effectively doubled the price.

Two player online and 4 player offline. Though, with steam's remote play or PS4's shareplay you could do four online too. Not sure if the Xbone or Switch have something like that too or not.

I don't care if this just turns into a three-man circle jerk but it's gotta be said, this game is fantastic. That's why we have the Streets of Rage 3 characters baybeh! (when unlocked), i like the game got it on Xbox Game Pass first day, probably was my most anticipated game of April.. There's alot of good going for this game but a few little things i didn't like, to me personally i felt the soundtrack was a little lacking apart from a couple of stages, i switched to the retro soundtrack but i might give the default songs a second go of listening maybe they'll grow on me. The art is good, however i felt these new bosses were kind of average, i mean the original trilogy had very creative and imaginative looking bosses eg. that clown & Roo, Mona & Lisa, that Axel robot dopple ganger etc. I also miss how the bosses would yell at the top of their lungs in defeat after the final blow and fall to the ground in slow motion like in Streets 3, screaming: "WAAAGHHHHHH!" after a grand upper to the face Again, it's just a few little nit picks but overall the game is good and real fun, speaking of Sega did anyone play that ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove game a year or two back?.. i wish they'd update it <:l

I only didn't like the couple recycled bosses, I feel they could have done something more than fighting Estel, the Commissioner, and technically Diva twice. The soundtrack overall took some time to grow on me; only a couple of songs stood out immediately like Shiva's theme and the elevator theme I posted above, but I like it a lot more after a few listens. I'll always still like the first game's OST best, but this is still pretty great. I missed out on Toejam and Earl when I was a kid and coultn'y really get into it nowadays. I'm pretty interested in the new Earthworm Jim game, but that's going to be on a new Intellivision console? What year are we living in again? lol

I have and do play it. As far as the game goes. I was legit cussing out the AI for being cheap. But after figuring out their move patterns, I’m working my way up the mania mode. I will be honest, I think the SOR remake is still better. But this is still really awesome.

I think this is a little more polished than Remake, but Remake has so much content and is imo the best way to play any of the games pre-4. Also, off-topic, but I dig the Protomen sig.

Just for fun, which enemy type do you normally end up being annoyed with the most in SOR 4?.. mine is Donovan, most of the AI are pretty cheap in this game but when i'm racking up a good combo chances are there's a well placed Donovan sneaking up right behind me ready to break up the 30 plus combo i've been building.. either that or normally he'd get the first shot in with his lead pipe when i try to get up close to make a hit or he'd throw a weapon from a distance while i'm busy taking care of his buddies.. Funny thing is, he presented no problems in the original three games but now he's become my most hated enemy.. If Estel & Roo can become future playable DLC characters, why not add the bartender?.. he was quite the badass waiting outside the bar for our heroes to show up, he had some sweet moves and rocked an even sweeter 60's magnum TA prono mustache.. i can dig it!

While I personally dread the dojo room of Galsias. It’s the worst playing as shiva. But, yeah. Donovan Sucks. I really hate when there two or more of him holding weapons and they start throwing them at you.

I was very caught off guard the first time Donovan hucked a nail bat at me. To me the worst are the girls with all the throwable vials and grenades. They disrupt your combois, slow you down, and just push you away when you get close. Granted, they were less of an issue when I found out you could catch thrown items out of midair, but usually I don't have time to do that with all of the other mooks they're accompanied by.

The first time I ever played Streets Of Rage was at a mall and my dad my cousin and me were shopping at Dillard's and my mom and my aunt were trying on clothing and while we were waiting for my mom and aunt to finish shopping we were in the electronics section and they had a Sega Genesis demonstation display and it happened that Streets Of Rage was the featured game and so my dad and cousin and I wanted to play. And as always I was the first to play and I chose Blaze as my character and I was pretty good at Streets Of Rage and I got to the end of the first level and poor Blaze lost and so it was my cousin's turn and his character he chose was Axel but he didn't get to the end of the first level because Mom was calling my cousin and me and Dad to join my aunt at the mall so we could shop. I never knew that there was a Streets Of Rage 4 but from what I played of it Streets Of Rage was a great Sega Genesis game that should be remade for the Nintendo DS because of it's action and easy gameplay Doctorwhofan
