I was looking up the Jakks Summerslam Ring Gear set earlier today. The one that came with the WWF Women's Championship. I remember buying this as a kid, just for the belt that I still have. I came across this site that says what came in each wave... www.wrestlearmy.com/wrestlearmy/link996.htmI am really surprised I wasn't more into these as a kid!! Weren't these only available in TRU's and Targets? I didn't live in a town with one of those till 2004. Also, I seem to remember kid me thinking that a pack of weapons was not worth the same price as a figure. But if Mattel started making something like this, I would be all over it!!! |

They were awesome. I was fortunate enough to find a complete heat set (pads, turnbuckles, ropes and ring apron) for very cheap. Have them on my hardcore ring. It's epic

They were available everywhere, because the shopping cart packs warmed the pegs at my KB Toys. People would steal the ring aprons because they had a cut out to feel that it was real material. They were awesome and a great way to get extra accessories and belts. I also had that summerslam one and the announcers table (which was inferior to the Kmart exclusive version, but $5-6 >>> $20-25 to get another hardcore ring...even if you got JR and earl hebner too).
The heat series that came with all the belts was easily the best one. Also the APA file cabinet was cool but if you didn't have the APA (like me) it was sort of a waste...bu getting a 2nd tag belt and a table was worth the $5.
I had wanted a lot of the stuff from series 5 but never got around to buying it. They also made Unchained Fury ones. There was a hurricane accessory pack, RVD ring skirts, Booker T ring posts, and I forgot what else.

Unrelated to OP but which WrestleMania was the apron? It’s looks like the X-7 colours but did it say x-7 or just WrestleMania?
As for the OP in Canada we had the ring gear sets at Tru and zellers
I remember never finding the first - but the second I know for sure was at zellers and the set with the green room stuff I got at TRU

The Bendems 5pack technically didn't count, but the cashier either didn't know or didn't care. Still have those belts too. |
