I had no issues with that jacket. Displays great. I glued the tassels to the back of the coat. And I still have no problems adding and removing those jackets. Looks nice!

I actually like the plastic jackets. Though I would have loved to see an Ultimate Edition execution. My big issue with the DM Sting was the face that looked nothing like him imo, and the running correction on the boots (I ended up with the laced version).

I get the posing complaints, but I don't think Sting's "Sgt. Pepper" jackets would have translated well to this scale at all. Would have loved to have seen the Ultimate Edition-style swappable arms on a Sting.

Was this the one-off attire that Sting wore against Bret Hart at Mayhem '99?

to each their own but I hate those rubber coats....and yes they're rubber. The first thing I do is tear it off a figure and toss it in a bin in the closet. Biggest waste of money

The Ryan Satin post does make it sound like Sting and the WWE are negotiating.

The Ryan Satin post does make it sound like Sting and the WWE are negotiating. I hope they do. If Sting wants to wrestle let him have a couple of more matches. They could honestly pre-record the Undertaker vs Sting and make it look like a million bucks because it’s not in front of a live audience. Something like the boneyard match. The other matches could be tag matches where he interacts a bit. If not, at this point I’d be happy if Jazware gives me more Sting flashbacks... especially a ‘98 singlet version.

Biggest waste of money I’m very picky on which ones I use. When they use plastic ones for Undertaker those things immediately go in a bin. Some of them like the Matadors and WM32 Stephanie aren’t bad so I keep those ones on display. Eventually I’ll buy proper pleather coats for Edge

I see no reason to allow this, especially what happened after Goldberg vs. Undertaker. I love Sting. He's one of my all-time favorites, but he's 61 years old. He shouldn't be anywhere near a ring or wrestling at this point anymore. As Jim Ross says, Father Time does no jobs. Wrestling is already very risky before you hit 60.

E62 Sting wasn’t as bad as I was dreading it to be and the Matadors are soft like Stephanie’s. If Ultimate Editions were around ten years ago it would’ve saved us from some dreadfully awful plastic coats like Jericho’s lite bright jackets

Use that to build up to their actual match the next year. I am really surprised they have not taken this approach with the Undertaker, period. Put him in some high profile tag matches at Wrestlmania just to save him/spare him for awhile.

Neither men would get hurt and you could have them do all the gimmicky supernatural stuff. It has the potential to be awesome.

Before the pandemic there wasn't much of an incentive or inkling to do all this pre-recorded, no audience stuff.
Guys, I know Sting vs. Undertaker is a dream match and all but it's time to let go. Undertaker is 55 years old. Sting is 61. Sting had to retire several years ago for a reason. Forcing him out of retirement to make him work a Boneyard Match is not my idea of a dream match between those two. Sorry, it just isn't.

The Ryan Satin post does make it sound like Sting and the WWE are negotiating. I read that as the opposite. If they were negotiating the figure probably wouldn't of got pulled.

funny thing is i said in a thread a while back , about talent, they need to crank out 2-3 right away then you can mix it in later with other versions. Like Chyna, id already have another version of her ready to go here soon. Theres no need to space them out. I get why they do it, but when something happens on a whim , your left holding your ___. Sting at least they did get us a few. couldve been more though. they stalled and now thats it at least for a while. Im not even sure if Mattel will hold the license by the time he comes back if at all by then. i just disagree with this completely. nobody can predict whats going to happen down the road. mattel has had the ability to make Sting for YEARS and they covered all his iconic looks. the rest would just be gravy. it takes a LONG time for a figure to get released from its design. we've seen that. and by overloading with one talent, it takes away spots from other people. plus the landscape of the WWE is always changing. what if Sting had 3 more figures made that were not all that different from the ones we got, and then we never got some of the other amazing elite's we've seen since he was signed? the Tugboat/Typhoon/Shockmaster situation was sooooo specific, and they had 3 different ways to get them out. There's only so many figures released in a year. Within that first year Mattel nailed Sting's most iconic look, a "surfer" and even TWO current day ones. they cant plan their business around "whims" Don’t get me wrong, I have the elite Sting that covers his GAB 91 match with Nikita Koloff & I love that figure....but why was this particular one an “iconic” look?? It’s from an ok match that he LOST against Koloff & nothing about it ever really stood out, at least not to me....plus, the figure came with the wrong version of the world title for a 1991 representation not to mention Sting wasn’t even world champion at the time of that match.....Imo, a better choice for an “iconic look” figure in that series would have been to make a Superbrawl 2 Sting from where he WON the Wcw title for the second time against Lex Luger....with the correct version of the world belt included

I was one of the few that stood up these last two days waiting for this preorder. Truly sucks as this was the only figure I wanted in this wave. Who else is supposed to be in this new wave?
