Anybody else grab one of these today? Or even know about it? I'm sure some of you will recognize it as the work of Pete Arico, the collector-world-famous sculptor who has made RNR figures by hand for years. They have FINALLY made it to retail, though in limited fashion. As promised many years ago, I grabbed one immediately. Young me would be so psyched! Better yet he'll stand next to my set of Winston Toys erasers in my office. Unfortunately they sold out in under 10 minutes, but more from the series are said to be forthcoming. I know how crazy collectors can be and was surprised it actually lasted numerous minutes before selling out. A few weeks ago I bought something else that was a limited release (only 50) and they were sold out in barely 1 minute. I was expecting a mad rush like that and possibly missing out. Sure this is a pretty niche item, but still.

It sold out in way less than 10 minutes. It was gone in three.

It sold out in way less than 10 minutes. It was gone in three. I kept refreshing after my purchase to get an idea, and it didn't show "SOLD OUT" until about the 10-minute mark for me. Must have been a timing issue. Either way, congrats on getting one!

knew nothing about these finally coming out (I remember many years ago this person showing off his customs), also wonder how they were able to do this without any copyright/license issues.
My only complaint is that they are resin and not the rubber ljn material. If these were rubber id be in on these and blend them in with my collection. hand painted resin just screams damage waiting to happen.

What website had them? Are these licensed or just being sold in bulk by Pete and his partners ? I don’t see any official markings on the front of the package ?

I'll be keeping mine in the box(es) either way!

I messaged the seller at 3:03 EST asking why it said sold out and he informed that it was because they actually were sold out. But then he allowed me to purchase the one that he cancelled.

According to the sculptor, he is no longer in business with the two other partners that helped make this particular figure a reality. He has new partners that he has spoken highly of and he told me that he anticipates the new figures only costing $50 each. I didn’t ask what, if any number they’d be limited to but at 50 I’d definitely buy every single one.

It's nice having something special. I kept refreshing after my purchase to get an idea, and it didn't show "SOLD OUT" until about the 10-minute mark for me. Must have been a timing issue. Great luck there. Good thing you asked!

I've been following Pete on and off since 2014 after a friend of his referred me to his site. It is great he is finally able to make these happen. It would have been pretty cool is LJN had done bendies of the cast of the cartoon either in addition to, or rather than the bendies they had made.

I've never heard of these, but they are pretty cool looking! I'll keep an eye out for future figures.

He's a super amazing talent and I love his work, but at the end of the day... it's a custom. I'm not really into knock offs or customs, but that's just me. I can't believe how good he is though

Disagree. Just because it isn’t officially licensed doesn’t make it a custom. What's a better word? Bootleg? Fake? How would it be fake? It’s not imitating anything else that already exists. Unlicensed, unofficial... it’s fan art, which is a real (not fake) thing. Would you consider that a fake or bootleg knock off? What is it a knock off of?

Would you consider that a fake or bootleg knock off? What is it a knock off of? I wasn't saying it was fake, just asking the question. I didn’t pull the word “fake” out of thin air. You suggested that fake might be a better word to use than custom. I’m not sure if you’re new to collecting but these words have very specific meanings and clearly this is neither fake nor a custom. I understand that you’d like for the package to say on it “officially licensed” and have a wwe logo on it. You don’t have to buy it. But not having that doesn’t classify something as a bootleg knock off or any of the other words you threw out there. I suggested a couple of more accurate ways to describe it in my last post.
