Will be interesting to see how things develop when Sami comes back. New Japan strips titles all the time when performers can't make it, most recently when Moxley couldn't make a show. Mox got the title back his next opportunity, hopefully Zayn won't actually have any punishment from this. But it's interesting that he got stripped while the cruiser weight title is only interim.

It is sad that Sami is being stripped.
Yet Good that maybe now we can get away from the current, UGLY IC title!!
Go back to either the classic design or the Attitude Era design!

One one hand I'm disappointed to see Sami's reign end so soon. And especially to see it end like this.
But on the other, I totally get it. You can't leave the IC title on Sami when we may not see him for another year for all we know.
I'd love to see SD use this as a tool to build someone new up. If Ali wasn't the hacker, he'd be perfect. I also wouldn't mind seeing a workhorse like Gulak, Gable, or Morrison win it. Maybe even a dark horse like Grand Metalik or Lince Dorado. Why not give it to Cesaro and let him feud Nakamura? Have Sami's group fall apart without him.
But if I had to bet money, it'd be on Hardy, Sheamus, or Bryan.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. They're not going to spend money on a whole new belt, and then just ditch it because they're stripping the title from Zayn. |

I was more surprised that Sami won the belt to begin with because I remember reading many months ago that Sami may have to retire anyhow from in ring action cause of his shoulders or something of that nature.

I feel like their go to move is to just have a guy put on a suit and cut a promo about how they are going to bring prestige back to the belt and make it mean something again. |

Nakamura should’ve never dropped it to Strowman.
Cesaro more than deserves it, but only if it’s a lengthy reign. Have Sami return as a babyface down the road and then we get a series of amazing Zayn/Cesaro matches. Those two have amazing chemistry!
