Probably because they don't want to go back on their word of doing it with a live audience. Just a guess though I know...but it’s gonna be like a year, then. 😔 If that’s the case maybe there’s no Royal Rumble.

Brodie is so damn impressive. I hope the match with Moxley is 4* territory.

This match is too long. Daniels should get some offense, but Lee should be killing him.

They can't give Brodie a clean win..... against a mid card tag guy?

"Moxley is chasing Brodie for his belt"
Doesn't follow Brodie up the ramp to the back

Honestly, I think you will see wrestling in Red States and none in Blue states. Exactly. I think 4 states with GOP Governors resisted Stay-at-Home orders the first time, with many of the last holdouts also having GOP Governors. With Conservative-held State Supreme Courts striking down orders, local municipal Republicans resisting Dem Governor orders, industry leaders ignoring or pushing back on precautionary measures (including Elon Musk), and nothing above giving honest advice, there is zero chance we see that many close things again. No matter what may come of it.

Wonder where they’re going with Taz/Darby. I’m all for anything that gives Taz more tv time, but on Twitter it looks like they just blew off the angle.

if it's one thing I want AEW to stay away from is the 50/50 booking. There was no rhyme or reason why Matt Hardy & Kenny Omega needed to get back a win this week over an established ranked team to avenge their loss last week. They are a make-shift/thrown-together team and would have added more heat to the Inner Circle if they had just done the right thing and jobbed. Omega and Hardy get nothing from this win, Santana and Ortiz do get hurt a bit in the established tag division because of this loss. The heels should be getting the upper-hand until the PPV where the faces get redemption, it's booking 101. Ugh...when did Dusty Rhodes find redemption from weekly attacks by the Four Horsemen right?!
Matt Hardy is quickly becoming what Hulk Hogan was to WCW...a slow cancer on the product.
I love Shida, but never give her a mic again. I'm happy because I'm happy?!? This women's division is suffering. As green as Brit is, get the belt on her quickly so she can at least cut a decent promo and put the other girls over.
AEW should abandon the W/L factor at this point, the rankings mean nothing it does not differentiate them from the competition. Rather it confuses the viewer to question why MJF who has a better W/L record than Brodie Lee, doesn't get a shot at Mox. Or that Shida at 9-0 or whatever still has to fight 3 other women for the #1 contender spot.

Rather it confuses the viewer to question why MJF who has a better W/L record than Brodie Lee, doesn't get a shot at Mox. Or that Shida at 9-0 or whatever still has to fight 3 other women for the #1 contender spot. I took a totally different perspective on this win. It did hurt Santana & Ortiz a bit, but they are strong enough they can recover without too much trouble. I saw this as a continuation of the Hangman/Kenny saga. I'm trying to articulate properly how I'm seeing it playing out, but obviously it's a very big shade of grey story. To me, Hangman's story has been about him feeling like he doesn't get enough credit, and this tag run has largely been him out to prove himself. He's finished off SCU for the titles with the lariats, he tried the OWA and it got a kickout so he went back to the lariats to finish off the young bucks. Both those major wins didn't involve Kenny in the finish. Tonight Kenny picks up a win over a very established team with a thrown together partner, suggesting Hangman isn't as critical as he thinks, but at the same time, Hardy actually got the pin. So I don't think the win was without reason. Plus, if Hangman & Hardy both end up in the Stadium Stampede match there is a lot of dynamics that will come out in that match. We still have yet to follow up on a line from Hangman before too. When Dustin stepped in as a tag partner with Page instead of Kenny, Hangman had already said he'd found a partner, but it was never revealed who. There's a ton going on with this story, and I think with Hangman being gone for a bit for 'Rona concerns presumably, this was a way to kind of rekindle it before he comes back. (It's really not clear when Hangman plans on returning, but based on the pre-show #1 contender match I feel like he & Khan have planned a return time and it's not far off. Perhaps for the Stampede match). I don't like consistent 50/50 booking either, but I think this was part of a much larger story, so I'm not really all that bothered by it here. (Though if it keeps happening in every story yeah, that's a pretty big cause for concern, especially considering they went out of their way to say they had no intentions of doing consistent 50/50 bookings). Just let Shida cut most of her promos in Japanese and subtitle them. Riho did fine without speaking much anyways. Riho may have gotten some vocal minority hate, but the ratings evidence and audience reaction was pretty clear that she was hella popular. Shida is the best wrestler in the division and should really be the next champion and the one to dethrone Nyla. She's also very popular with the majority of the audience. Britt taking it off Nyla wouldn't make a ton of sense, but defeating Shida right after Shida taking it from Nyla would be diabolical and big time heat. I kinda think that's where it's gonna head, and that could be pretty entertaining. Also, Brodie's singles W/L record is better than MJF's and is the top singles record once you take out Cody/Archer who have their match, and Kenny, who has the tag title. MJF has 4-0 singles 2-0 tags, Brodie 5-0 singles, both including their wins last night.

@gardinermitch that's a BIG grey area for sure ha! I don't know if the level of wrestling show writing is that sophisticated or if the general consumer will get those subtleties; I mean I've been a fan for 40+ years and I didn't even factor-in Page beating SCU/Bucks with a lariat on his own. It's a good brewing story line which I think will have a twist where Page is the face and Omega becomes heel, but for now it looks like 50/50 booking on paper and LAX got hurt out of it and Omega/Hardy and Inner Circle get nothing really.
I know Brit isn't the one that has to take it off Nyla but I do like your script of her stealing it away from Shida immediately! She's really coming into her own. But the division is still suffering. They need top names from other places to legitimize their efforts.
MJF will beat Marko next week to fuel the stakes with Jungle Boy at Double or Nothing 2. Brodie doesn't have a match next week on Dark or Dynamite, so they'll have an even record. What then? I know many of you guys are high on Brodie, but the REAL money is in the snotty-nosed arrogant SOB MJF getting what he deserves from the tough SOB Mox. MJF is too young to win the title right now, so an initial go at it would be perfect for both him and Mox. Brodie still has that WWE-musk on him.
