With Jericho dropping his latest podcast episode today featuring Martha Hart does that mean that she may be open to a figure deal with AEW and Jazwares/Wicked Cool Toys?
She is telling her story recently. This podcast and Dark Side of The Ring will both make substantial advertising earnings off their Owen content.

I don't think Martha hated wrestling, I think she just hated WWE and Vince McMahon.
If AEW can somehow get an Owen Hart figure in some legends deal along with Sting and even classic Jericho and Mox?? That would be an exciting opening series for that line.

Those Jakks figures were still WWE related though. AEW is a different company all together, the fact that Martha took the time to talk to Chris Jericho about this, gives us a little bit of hope.

I wonder if she’ll let the same company that did the latest Hogan figures do one of Owen. I don’t see why not? I definitely see why not when it comes to wwe!

Owen has been inducted into multiple hall of fames (not WWE related obviously) and she doesnt even bother to attend to accept on his behalf. I havent listened to the pod yet but Im sure she trashes WWE in it, which she has the right to do, but that's the only time she involves herself in anything wrestling is when she can crapon WWE. |

The CS line was a WWE property, and even if the deal was signed with Jakks, WWE would be getting a cut of the profits. Martha is putting out Owen shirts with proceeds going to the foundation. But who knows. There are more opportunities on the table than any other point in the past 15-20 years. Here's a full quote from Martha from Jericho's podcast: "In the past, people have approached me, but it always turned up that somehow there was a link with WWE. I've always steered away from anything related to them, so it's always squashed opportunities. Any sort of merchandise venture, we give all proceeds to the Owen Hart Foundation. I didn't think it was right that a company like WWE would make money off of his name when I hold them responsible for his death. I never wanted to do any projects with them. Unfortunately, forever, they were the only game in town." |

It's possible that WWE could own certain images or trademarked phrases. But they don't have blanket control over attire just because it appeared on footage in their tape library, if that's what you're asking. Look at the Storm Hogan figures or the Legends of Wrestling game (which included Owen) as examples. Storm made the Hogan figures without WWE licensing, but had to exclude any WWE owned trademarks/graphics, such as NWO logos. |

I believe in her book she said she didn’t like wrestling, but a friend of hers dragged her to a show and she met Owen there. |

From the sounds of it, she would be okay with figures or any merch, so long as WWE gets absolutely ZERO from it in any way..
So yeah, there's certainly a chance here. Time to Tweet Jericho about it!!
