As much as some people try to make the narrative that WWE is awful, everyone but the top guys want to leave, there are a lot of guys, that want to be there. Hell look at Drake Maverick, the video of how crushed he was when he got released. I think Drew was finally getting to showcase the talent he has, thanks in part to Daniel Bryan going to bat for him. The asking for more money wasn't a ploy to try and get out of the contract, it was him believing he had earned it. And the one thing I've seen a bit, when it was first announced he was gone, and for even a lot of the releases, the 'oh who cares, he'll never be a top guy in WWE or any where else. So what? Not everyone is going to be a top guy, but promotions need more than just top guys on their rosters. They need guys like Gulak who can make up a mid card for a promotion, can put on good matches, and at times, be there to help others look good. The reason I say that is because everything I was hearing was that they were renegotiating a deal and he wanted a raise. They said no and his contract ran out. I'm not owed an explanation or anything. lol Just curious as to what changed. I hope you didn't think I was attacking you or anything, I wasn't, I just saw your post as an easy way to say what I said. My guess, is him and his agent, must have found some middle ground with WWE, maybe he got a bump, just not the amount he was originally trying to get. And it probably helps to, having someone like Daniel Bryan as a supporter of yours too.

I don't want to hear any complaints from him after he signed this deal though.

I'm interested to hear why he re-signed. I'm guessing more money, but I have no clue. lol As much as some people try to make the narrative that WWE is awful, everyone but the top guys want to leave, there are a lot of guys, that want to be there. Hell, who knows that the aspirations for Gulak aren't actually ABOVE midcard now? Maybe they try to build him up as a small guy that can mat wrestle you out of the ing building. I mean, why not Drew?

I hope they gave him the raise. If they’re using him on Smackdown, and he’s willing to work now when others won’t, he deserves to be paid for it. I like the mix of him and Daniel Bryant. Their match was tremendous.

Who? Are they just picking up people off the street now? I wouldn't be surprised if they picked up RoboJack. He's some crazy dude in my town who likes to bench press dumpsters and stuff. He's legitimately nuts. He cuts a hell of a promo in this video

I think he was a good choice to keep on.
