1997:
It is November 10, 1997. Bret Hart has just departed for WCW. And so has British Bulldog and Jim Neidhart. Owen takes some time off and begins to rethink his time with the WWF. He could walk away and go to WCW with his family, but decides on November 24. 1997 to sign another contract with the WWF. In order to write the slate clean. Owen agrees to return to the WWF in a storyline for revenge against DX and Vince McMahon. Owen returns at In Your House: D-Generation X after Shawn Michaels has successfully defended the WWF Title against The Undertaker in a Casket Match with Kane setting the casket ablaze but just as DX are celebrating. Owen Hart jumps through the crowd and attacks Shawn Michaels and Triple H. Owen in retalliation puts the sharpshooter on Shawn. Michaels taps, McMahon gets in the ring to reason with Owen but Owen socks him in the face and then leaves the ring. The next night, McMahon confronts Owen Hart with Owen confronting McMahon on what happened at Survivor Series. Owen demands a title match against Michaels. Michaels gives it to him and McMahon books the match for the final 1997 of RAW. 1 week before the match. Michaels pays Kane and Paul Bearer to try to put Owen Hart on the shelf but Owen doesn't back down against the monster Kane but with intereference from Michaels. Kane wins against Owen. Michaels poses over him saying that Owen's never taking the title from him. So the match happens on December 29. 1997 with Owen capturing the WWF Title over Michaels despite intereference from Triple H and Chyna. Finally, Owen has done it. He's avenged his brother's screwjob and is finally crowned the WWF Champion.
1998:
Michaels then demands a rematch for the title which he gets at the 1998 Royal Rumble, Michaels chooses the match to be a ladder match. Michaels injures himself in real life like what happened between him and The Undertaker in a Casket Match at the Rumble. But with intereference from Triple H. Owen loses the title and Michaels is now a 4-time WWF Champion. And so Owen would find another way to go after the WWF Championship. Owen is added to the Austin/Michaels WrestleMania 14 and the match is a triple threat with Austin having his WrestleMania moment. Meanwhile, Owen would feud with Triple H for the European Title after WrestleMania and Owen would win the European Title at Unforgiven. He does not join The Nation of Domination. He remains a face and successfully defends the European Title against all comers until he drops the title at Fully Loaded to D' Lo Brown. McMahon then has another storyline angle with Owen in where McMahon wants Owen to take the WWF Championship from Stone Cold Steve Austin. As Austin is confronting McMahon. Owen begins to attack him and puts the sharpshooter on Austin. Owen reminds Austin of their history in where last year he nearly ended Austin's career. But he would plan on ending it for good and taking the WWF Championship, because a role model like Stone Cold Steve Austin as the WWF Champion is bad for business. At Summerslam. Austin and Owen put on a pretty good match. Owen attempts to break Austin's neck again, but Austin is able to retain the title by dropping Owen with the Stunner. McMahon is mad at Owen. Owen turns face once more and sides with Austin in his feud with McMahon. Owen teams with Austin against Kane and The Undertaker with Kane and Undertaker putting Owen on the shelf with a double chokeslam. Owen returns the night after Judgment Day as a partner for Stone Cold Steve Austin at the Survivor Series. The Survivor Series Elimination Match is for the WWF Championship with Austin's team pitting The Rock, Owen Hart, Kane and Ken Shamrock against the team of Undertaker's team who is the WWF Champion. The Undertaker, Big Bossman, Mankind, Jeff Jarrett and D' Lo Brown. And why I added D' Lo is because of the Nation splitting up with The Rock splitting up the Nation. Owen eliminates Jarrett, but is eliminated by The Undertaker via Tombstone Piledriver. In the end, Stone Cold's team wins with The Rock being the sole survivor but not only that, he also betrays Austin near the end of the match and pins Mankind to win the WWF Championship meaning that if Undertaker's team lost the fall, then one of Stone Cold's teammates would be the WWF Champion and that was The Rock. On November 30, 1998. Owen challenges The Rock for the WWF Championship with Owen having some good offense in against The Rock and is close to winning the match, but thanks to intereference by Jeff Jarrett. The Rock is able to retain the title against The Rocket. Owen and Jarrett would fight at Rock Bottom with Owen winning the match keeping his momentum.
1999:
Owen continues to blow on some steam and wins the European Championship in a good match on January 11, 1999 capturing the European Title for the second straight time over X-Pac. Owen participates in the 1999 Royal Rumble and makes it to the final six but is eliminated by Kane. Owen has some outstanding matches for the European Title, but does lose it to Shane McMahon. I'm keeping the European Title storyline thing for Shane McMahon, but at WrestleMania 15, Owen wins back the European Title for the third time. But would lose it the next night to D' Lo Brown. Owen would hunt for the Intercontinental Championship and would eventually turn heel turning down The Godfather's hoes. At Over The Edge, the Blue Blazer Gimmick is not used, Owen is still alive and wins the Intercontinental Title for the third time in his career over The Godfather. Owen talks about how he could become the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time. Owen then has some outstanding matches and hangs on to the Intercontinental Title throughout the middle of 1999 but he would lose the title to Chyna at Unforgiven. Owen is embarassed that he lost to a woman, he is brought down to the mid-card and reforms his tag team with The British Bulldog similar to the old days. Owen and Bulldog team up and gain some wins and are one step closer to becoming the WWF Tag Team Champions, At the 1999 Survivor Series, they face the Holly Cousins for the Tag Team Titles in where Owen and Bulldog win the titles once more, but they would lose it the next night to the New Age Outlaws and after the match. Owen attacks The Bulldog leading to a match between the two at Armageddon with Owen coming out on top and celebrating saying that he's the better Hart in this family cause why he's Owen.
2000:
After his win over The Bulldog. Owen returns to the Intercontinental Championship hunt that is being occupied by Chris Jericho and Chyna, But he participates in the Royal Rumble Match as the #16 entrant and doesn't eliminate anyone, and also never makes it to the finals as he's eliminated by The Rock before #27 arrives. On January 24, 2000. Owen battles Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental Championship when suddenly Owen and Jericho are ambushed by the Radicals in their debut. At No Way Out, Owen and Jericho team up together to take on The Radicals in a 4 on 2 Handicap Match with Benoit pinning Owen to become victorious for the Radicals, the next night. Benoit wins the Intercontinental Title over Jericho with Owen interrupting his celebration and challenging Benoit to a match at WrestleMania 16 for the Intercontinental Title turning Owen back into a face. The two put on a solid 25-30 minute match and it is match of the night contention, Owen comes close to regaining the title but Benoit makes Owen submit cleanly to the Crippler Crossface retaining the Intercontinental Title. Owen takes part of the 24/7 Hardcore Championship Situation in May of 2000 defeating Crash Holly to regain the Hardcore Title. Owen would make a great Hardcore Champion despite escaping 24/7 title defenses, but Owen's luck runs out and he would lose the title in June to Steve Blackman in the 24/7 rule as Owen is defending the title in a Triple Threat Match against Big Bossman and Crash Holly. Owen takes some time off due to another injury. But returns 6 days before Survivor Series to accept Kurt Angle's open challenge for the WWF Championship. The two face off in a scientific good match with Owen attempting to win the title but Angle turns it into a victory roll defeating Owen to retain the title. Owen would then feud with William Regal for the European Title, at Armageddon. Regal retains the European Title against Owen Hart.
2001:
Owen begins to show a little more rust in himself as he's been with the company for 9 years since his return. At the 2001 Royal Rumble, he's the fourth man eliminated as he's also one of Kane's victims. Owen tries to get his career back on track as he defeats Test to win the WWF European Title once again but Eddie Guerrero challenges him for the title at WrestleMania and Eddie would defeat him, but at Backlash. Owen would win back the title once more over Eddie Guerrero making Owen a 5-time WWF European Champion. Owen holds on to the title for four months but loses it to WCW's Mike Awesome in the invasion storyline. And speaking of Owen. The WWF Superstars also accuse Owen of defecting to WCW because of his brother Bret being in WCW. Bret is not seen in the WWF Invasion Angle, and the storyline is alterly dropped, Owen eventually would join the WCW Coalition at the 2001 Survivor Series turning his back on team WWF and joining WCW giving Eric Bischoff power and control over the WWF.
2002:
After turning on the WWF. Owen's career gets motivated back by Eric Bischoff. He wins the WCW United States Title over WWF's Jeff Hardy on the first RAW of 2002 at Madison Square Garden. Owen then makes it to the Royal Rumble Match as the #22 entrant and lasts in the final eight until he's eliminated by the returning Triple H. At WrestleMania, Owen would lose the United States Title to Edge and the WCW Storyline is dropped. In the Draft Extension, Owen is drafted to the RAW Brand and in his first order of business in the RAW Brand is challenging Rob Van Dam for the Intercontinental Title, the two would collide at Backlash with RVD retaining the Intercontinental Title over Owen. Owen begins to get lost in the shuffle some, but regains his momentum in having a mini feud with Brock Lesnar with Brock defeating him in the King of The Ring Semi-Finals. At Vengeance, Owen would win back the Hardcore Title for the second time defeating Bradshaw by taking advantage of the 24/7 stipulation. Owen would lose the title to Tommy Dreamer days later. Owen would also join the Un-Americans, Test, Christian, Lance Storm, Regal and Owen set up a claim to destroy America, but unfortunately, that alliance gets shattered in September when Christian and Storm lose the titles to Kane and The Hurricane. Owen would take another time off due to another injury.
2003:
Owen returns at Judgment Day as a babyface to be a part of the Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal Match. Owen is in the final two with Christian and as the referee is knocked down. Owen backdrops Christian over the top rope and Owen thinks that he's won the Intercontinental Title. But the ref is out and that allows Christian to return and toss Owen out of the match. At Bad Blood, Owen and Christian face off for the title with Christian getting DQ'ed, but at Madison Square Garden on June 23, 2003. Owen would regain the title in a No Disqualifaction, No Countout Match over Christian dedicating the win to his mother, it is now Owen's fourth reign as the WWE Intercontinental Champion. Owen would show some more of the Intercontinental Title defenses like he did back in the Attitude Era days and remains Intercontinental Champion for six months almost a resurgence to Owen, Owen also joins Stone Cold's team for the 2003 Survivor Series in saving his job, but he's eliminated by Randy Orton. Owen loses the Intercontinental Title to Randy Orton at Armageddon.
2004:
After, Owen would try to regain the title back over Orton, on January 12, 2004. Owen fails to win his fifth Intercontinental Title over Orton. Owen starts to lose some of his momentum even towards and at the end of WrestleMania, but a change in gear would send Owen straight to the SMACKDOWN Brand in where he has a resurgence in turning heel and beginning a feud with John Cena blasting him for his rap music. Owen and Cena feud at Judgment Day for the United States Title with Cena retaining the United States Title over Owen. But Owen would eventually win the title over Cena at the Great American Bash and the two have the best matches of 2004 with Theodore Long booking the best of 7 series matches from Summerslam and No Mercy. Cena captures the U.S. Title over Owen at No Mercy. Owen then turns face and feuds with JBL for the WWE Championship, a title that Owen had not won since 1997. JBL badmouths Owen saying that Owen's lost sight of himself and that old people like Owen should just stay gone and retired. Owen takes offense to this and slaps JBL in the face setting up a match between the two at Survivor Series. Owen almost has the match won, but thanks to intereference from Orlando Jordan. Owen loses to JBL. Owen would get another shot at the WWE Championship at Armageddon against JBL including with Eddie Guerrero and The Undertaker. JBL would get away by the skin of his teeth retaining the title pinning Guerrero.
2005:
Owen's rise on the SMACKDOWN Roster still continues to grow popularity as he goes on the Road to WrestleMania, he enters in the Royal Rumble Match, but is eliminated third early in the match by Edge bringing Owen back down again. Owen would however build more momentum by winning an Interpromotional Battle Royal at WrestleMania 21 for SMACKDOWN. After John Cena's the WWE Champion. Owen is the first challenger to face him on April 11, 2005. Cena retains the title against Owen in a hard fought match. Owen is still showing the same Owen, at Judgment Day, he faces Orlando Jordan for the United States Title, he wins by countout but never captures the belt and as soon as Chris Benoit is traded to SMACKDOWN. He and Benoit become a tag team and they defeat MNM at The Great American Bash for the SMACKDOWN Tag Team Championship. Owen's first Tag Team Championship since 1999. Owen and Benoit then stay champions even with Benoit still the U.S. Champion, but a sense of jealousy is shown between Benoit and Owen with Owen saying that Benoit being the more popular in the team then Owen. Owen walks out on Benoit at No Mercy with MNM regaining the titles. Owen turns heel again on Benoit and wins the United States Title on November 11, 2005. Eddie Guerrero still doesn't die in real life. And the two have a match at Survivor Series for the title with Benoit winning by countout and at Armageddon with Owen using the tights to cheat.
2006:
Owen and Benoit's feud continues all the way to the Royal Rumble with Benoit eliminating Owen Hart from the Royal Rumble Match. At No Way Out, Owen and Benoit face off for the title again in a Cage Match but Owen is able to escape and retain the title. At WrestleMania 22, the two battle in a Submission Match with Benoit finally regaining the United States Title over Owen Hart. Owen is upset and decides to chase the World Heavyweight Championship, he wins a Battle Royal in May to challenge Rey Mysterio at Judgment Day for the World Heavyweight Title. Mysterio is able to retain the World Heavyweight Title over Owen. Owen takes another bit of time off. He then returns to the RAW Brand in October to begin a feud with Randy Orton cause of Randy Orton badmouthing the legends. At Cyber Sunday, Orton defeats Owen Hart with help from Orton's tag team partner Edge. Owen is also one of the unfortunate victims to suffer a loss to Umaga as well.
2007:
Owen's time seems to be winding down some more. He is not getting the same momentum he once had from 2005 and 2006. He is the first man eliminated from the Royal Rumble Match by Edge. Owen however has time to rebound and eventually makes it to WrestleMania in the Money in The Bank Ladder Match, but it is won by Mr. Kennedy, Owen then feuds with Ric Flair in where Owen admits that Flair never faced him in the ring and that Flair was a coward. Owen would turn heel for this, and at Backlash, the two face off with Owen scoring the biggest win of his career over the 16-time World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair and again at Judgment Day, but after the match. The two shake hands and Owen goes back into a face, At the 2007 Great American Bash. Owen wins his fifth Intercontinental Title scoring the biggest win of his career defeating Umaga. But he would lose the Intercontinental Title at Cyber Sunday in a sportsmanship match to Jeff Hardy.
2008:
It seems like 2007 may have been a rebound in Owen's corner, but 2008 has new superstars and Owen doesn't know how much time he will have left in his WWE Career. He makes it to the Money in The Bank Challenge again but is won by CM Punk. Owen would then turn heel once more in the Summer of 2008 challenging newcomer Kofi Kingston for the Intercontinental Title in where Owen fails to win the title at The Bash over Kofi Kingston. Owen gets traded to the SMACKDOWN Brand and has a feud with MVP turning Owen face in the process with MVP saying that Owen's lost touch with himself and that he is the real rocket. At Unforgiven, Owen gets a win over MVP. But MVP would score 2 wins over him at No Mercy and at Cyber Sunday in a Street Fight Match.
2009:
Owen is now regulated to a semi wrestling status, he is still a part of the SMACKDOWN Brand, after WrestleMania 25, he begins a feud with Dolph Ziggler with Ziggler defeating him at Judgment Day, but Owen is able to get his win back at the Great American Bash over Ziggler. Owen then begins to chase after the World Heavyweight Championship which is worn by CM Punk. In July. Owen loses the match to Punk, by weeks on end. Owen still can't get the job done against the new talent. Owen starts to consider retirement on January 4, 2010 until somebody tells him not to.
2010:
Owen begins to consider retirement at the end of 2009, but then suddenly. Owen's brother Bret for the first time in 13 years makes the decision for Owen telling Owen to fight on. Bret and Owen reunite on that night, and on January 11, 2010. The next week, Owen defeats The Miz to win the WWE United States Title having a resurgence in Owen's career. The resurgence moves Owen up as he enters the 2010 Royal Rumble Match lasting nearly 38 minutes until being eliminated by Batista. With his brother Bret's motivation. Owen qualifies for the Elimination Chamber Match defeating The Miz as well, this is Owen's first Elimination Chamber Match. He lasts through the final four until he's eliminated by Sheamus. Owen then gets in the cross-fire between Bret and Vince with Owen still taking Bret's side. At WrestleMania 26. Bret defeats Vince in a No Holds Barred Match, Owen's run as United States Champion still continues, but he would lose the title at Over The Limit to The Miz. Owen teams with Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith with Owen's nephew Natalya in their corner. The three form an alliance together as they take Bret's side in his feud with The Nexus. At Summerslam, Owen, David and Tyson Kidd are a part of team WWE with John Cena, Bret Hart, R-Truth and the returning Daniel Bryan against The Nexus with The Nexus winning. Owen then takes more time off and starts to have a big announcement concerning his future by the start of 2011.
2011:
Owen returns after the Royal Rumble and states that he's done everything for this business and says that he's about to turn 46 years old, he's had a great 21-year career in the WWE, Up and Down, up and down, but it was one hell of a ride, he says. And he wants to ride off into the sunset as a champion. Just when everyone thinks that Owen is going to go for a singles title. Bret comes out and the two both agree to challenge for the Tag Team Championship in Owen's last match at WrestleMania 27. And also in Bret's last match at WrestleMania 27. Owen and Bret would face Slater and Gabriel the up and young coming team at WrestleMania 27 for the WWE Tag Team Titles, it's surprisingly the best match of the night as critics thought that Bret wouldn't make it to the match. It's Bret and Owen that win the match after putting simultaneous sharpshooters on Slater and Gabriel. Owen has Gabriel in the sharpshooter while Bret has Slater in the Sharpshooter and the two win the WWE Tag Team Titles as brothers for the first and only time in their final WWE Matches. After, the titles are declared vacant the next night on RAW with Owen and Bret thanking the fans.
Post-WWE/AEW
Owen is inducted into the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame and thanks the fans and makes some appearances outside of WWE in Indy Wrestling Shows and also in IMPACT!. Owen returns to the WWE as a surprise entrant at the 2015 Royal Rumble, but lasts 5 minutes until he's eliminated by Rusev, he makes another surprise entrant in the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble Match and lasts 14 minutes until he's eliminated by Baron Corbin. Owen then appears on the first night of Double or Nothing in AEW in where he's a part of the stands with his brother Bret and Chris Benoit's son David. Owen then makes one final appearance at the 2019 Summerslam as a part of the stands on the show as well with his family.
It is November 10, 1997. Bret Hart has just departed for WCW. And so has British Bulldog and Jim Neidhart. Owen takes some time off and begins to rethink his time with the WWF. He's avenged his brother's screwjob and is finally crowned the WWF Champion.
1998:

The Rock is able to retain the title against The Rocket. Owen and Jarrett would fight at Rock Bottom with Owen winning the match keeping his momentum.
1999:
