Now I've seen the pics of this on Walmart and on ebay and I finally ended up getting it. So now, I look at the top he's got on. The pleather looks cheap and cheapy. I will open it and I guess I wouldn't mind not having a nice shirt, but my concern is with the product itself. Is it bootleg? How do you from real to fake on figures?
2 questions-Is the shirt just cheap and looks terrible MOC? Also-is the figure bootlegged/fake?
Check it out and tell me what you think...thank you very much appreciated

It's not a bootleg. I don't really see anything wrong with the shirt other than it's awkward positioning in the package.

I think it’s the same material used for the E74 Bálor jacket.

Looks legit. It was packaged sloppy. My first guess was that it might be a repacked basic but i can tell it isnt. If you are a loose collector you are good. If you're a moc collector you might want to flip it and get another one. Ive had a handful come like that i dont mind though i let em breathe!

That kind of material isn’t going to stay in place when placed into the bubble. Some will look different/better than others.

I’d put it up there as one of Mattel’s worst cloth accessories ever right next to Terry Funk’s “pancho.”

I don’t think it’s “cheaping out” it’s just a soft goods shirt on a figure where putting it in the blister as well as the traveling of the package the shirt shifted. I see nothing wrong with it. As long as there’s not Q/C issues how a soft goods shirt looks on the figure mib isn’t a top concern to Mattel, because at the end of the day they are a toy company making children’s toys that are expected to be opened.

I would much rather have cloth shiets than the hard plastic kind, even as a MOC collector

Doubt it's a bootleg. No one would be churning out fake figures for ones you can still get at retail cost for the real version.

Soft goods look very janky at this scale. It’s no worse than the Undertaker coats, or the jeans on DM Triple H.

Do people make bootlegs of figures you can get for $15?
Is that even a profitable business plan?

Despite what the prevailing sentiment is on this board, cloth material clothing in a this scale usually looks bad in anything but tee-shirts.

Look on the brightside - If you're not happy with it you have about 17,000 other Shinsuke figures to chose from.

Yep, aside from Finn Balor, no mid-carder has ever flooded the pegs with so many releases in figure collecting history. My Walmart still has his basic since before Christmas, and his next releases are on the way.
