I'm going to have to take Buff Bagwell out of the Wolfpac. I have been watching his stuff from the early days to joining the NWO. He is better as a cocky heel.

His character wouldn't have changed....hed still have been over as a face with a few tweaks. Just like HBK in 98 if he hadn't been injured...DX was going face but nobody was changing....

I put him in Wolfpac because Scott Steiner turned on him. He probably could have pulled it off. I could see Scott Steiner kicking out Hollywood Hogan and taking over the NWO.

Scott Norton and Buff Bagwell were a good tag team. You could have also put the Faces Of Fear against the NWO. It doesn't get any tougher than Meng and The Barbarian in pro wrestling. They still came out looking great even when they didn't win the match.

I read that Sting wanted to join Wolfpac because it was a cool act around that time.

How I would have booked it:
*The NWO would only have expanded beyond it's original form to include Savage and Piper. It would have been all ex-WWF guys saying that they had been forming and hatching this master plan to take down WCW for years.
*No variations of the NWO would have been allowed, and the NWO angle wouldn't have touched the undercard except for TV job fodder. The undercard would have been used to prepare the next generation of stars for the post-NWO booking.
*The NWO would have ended with a War Games Match at Bash at the Beach 1997 when 5 WCW guys beat the NWO. Hogan, Piper, and Savage would claim that Hall and Nash weren't on their level, and they were at fault for the loss. Hall and Nash would have blamed the Hogan, Piper, and Savage for the loss due to each being over the hill. Those two factions would feud, but with NWO mentions quickly being phased out.

Personally I didn’t care for the Wolfpac, but Sting was in it so I watched. lol I didn't either PJ...made zero sense to me. Now years later I appreciate it a bit more because I know what it was meant to be....pity Bisch didn't put his foot down & just go with Halls suggestion...they would have been mega over. At this point it was clear they acquired Hart because they could & nothing else. They had no plan for him coming in after the announcement he was coming over. Then you have Sting who wasn't completely ruined but allowed himself to be walked on by the paranoia of Hogan & Savage. So Bisch may as well went with the Wolfpac as the main anti NWO force.

I still think Sting joined Wolfpac because of his best friend Lex Luger.

That's interesting because Rowdy Roddy Piper and Randy Savage were two of Hulk Hogan's biggest rivals in pro wrestling.

And the WWF, while not calling them "legends" per se, were promoting them all as storied veterans by 1991. I remember seeing Piper and Savage save Hulk from the Undertaker's attack on the Funeral Parlor and thinking that it was quite ironic.
