If the plan is to turn Apollo heel, I could see him losing here. It could be the catalyst. Especially if Owens inadvertently costs him the title.

Really surprised that Styles,Bryan,Charlotte,Rollins,New Day...ect aren't wrestling tonight.Not a lot of star power on the full time roster to begin with plus with Becky & Roman being gone.Not a terrible thing I guess and gives spots on the card to lesser talent but still really odd and something the WWE usually doesn't do.Feel very much like mid to late 90's WCW where Hogan,Nash,Hall,Savage,Sting,Piper,Giant,Luger,DDP...ect wouldn't wrestle on every PPV.

Talked to my buddy about this angle and I’m not a fan, but he pointed out that if you were a heel trying to get to Jeff, to get him off his game wouldn’t you point out his past. He was like I feel like every heel would bring it up and go there.

I’m ok with it, you get tired of the same 20-25 guys getting these big spots on ppv when there are 50-60 main roster guys. Gives people opportunities and honestly stretches out feuds that feel quick. The Profits and Raiders have been feuding since right after mania and it took two and a half months to get to the PPV match. Do more of this and save the loaded up shows for the big 4. |
