As much as I like most of the figures, I really don't see the Ultimate Edition line surviving 2021, but I hope I'm wrong; It doesn’t look like they overproduce the line. If it ends up getting treated like the Razor Ramon DM, the line will fail. It’s too expensive to produce like that and expect people to purchase it regularly. The selection of current stars leaves a lot to be desired. Nakamura apparently rots at some Targets, like Ronda did before him.

One comment I want to make about the line in general: in order to keep this line alive they need to continue to rely on BIG NAMES. Hogan, HBK, Bret, Sting (if they resolve his contract), Flair (just signed a new deal), Cena, etc. I think the women are just as good as the next guy, but they are going to peg warm at the 30 dollar price point.

I get it to an extent, you can't put Rollins and AJ in the UE line because of how fatigued people are from all the Elites and Basics of them, but yeah...a $30 Becky Lynch when there's several figures of her coming out at a lower price point is probably not going to move a lot. Charlotte is gonna be a real interesting test for the line. Her last elite fluked into being the peg warmer to end all peg warmers, maybe this one will turn out better since she's paired with Rock? I don't know, but I'm ready for that UE6 Rock to go up for preorder. I have three Elites of him already but I like the way the render of the UE one looked a lot. Plus that might be my favorite Rock attire. Either way, UE7 apparently being Fiend/Hogan is a real good step forward for the line. We definitely need to get Sting and Flair into the line ASAP. I'd like to see an 80s Hogan in this line too, the render of Hollywood shows that they've finally figure out how to do a Hogan head sculpt that looks like him. Maybe if Mattel took a crack at 1985 Hulk in the UE line they could come close to the Storm ones.

It's been very feast or famine.

Maybe if Mattel took a crack at 1985 Hulk in the UE line they could come close to the Storm ones. The line just seems to be a much better fit for older wrestlers. There are so many iconic looks for Warrior, Sting, Macho, Taker, HBK, etc with high deco gear or detailed entrance attire that fit perfectly for this line. The current roster tend to have comparatively simple attires, and the "entrance gear" usually just consists of whatever tshirt they're trying to sell that month. Guys like Reigns and AJ have literally worn almost the same gear since their tv debuts. Rollins has a lot of different gear, but most of those looks have been covered elsewhere in Elite form. And they tried higher demand characters in the women's division, but it's a tough sell to move those at $20 let alone $30. Charlotte is a great fit from a design standpoint, but she basically has "go-away" heat right now with a big chunk of the fanbase. Her last Elite warmed terribly, and that was when she was still pretty popular. The Fiend is a perfect fit. And somebody like Brock will sell in any scenario. But those are the exception rather than the rule.

Selfishly, I want a WM14 Undertaker or Boneyard Match Undertaker.
Realistically, I’d love a cumulative Undertaker from WM 24 to 28, with long hair and short hair head scans.
I own one UE fighter, which is HBK, and I couldn’t be happier with it.
Only other figure I see myself buying in the next few years would be an UE Undertaker

Its so hard to pick just one Undertaker for UE but at the end of the day. I'd go with the gray gloves for his most iconic look.

The problem with a guy who's been there 30 years is there's so many iconic looks! If I had to guess, I'd say Attitude Era/WM14 or possibly Boneyard

With different cloth goods, heads, hands etc they could do a mash up of generations
Have the singlet/ tights as the base, cloth jacket, cloth shirt/tie look, and that blue denim jacket for the ABA look and then they could have heads with taker from 90, short hair aba, and 2008 long hair

Definitely overdue for a 93-94 hair-over-face head scan.

Am I the only one who wants a normal elite torso over an UE torso for WM14 Taker? I can't speak for everybody, but I feel like I got shafted with the 2000 era Triple H being an UE than a normal elite. I agree. I thought tha same thing about that Triple H figure, I love that attire, but hate the torso.
