Rumblers remind me a bunch of the old Doctor Who Time Squad figures that I loved. Unfortunately, they only released one wave of Time Squad... then re-released it years later with only two new figures. I have the full original set including the build a figure.
If Rumblers were still around, I could see me liking them.

The Rumblers were fun and the stylized designs gave them a unique appeal. They reminded me of the homies quarter machine figurines. If the Rumblers continued the roster would easily be updated as even Horn Swoggle had his own Rumblr.

I still have a Rumblers TRU exclusive set of a bunch of figures MIB. I have no idea why I still do.
That being said, I would kill for an AJ Styles one.

Remember the rumblers?! You must be a sadist. Or FlexForce figures Flex force was horrendous lol I don’t understand why those kinds of figures are even produced. Never as a child did I want figures with action features. Those types of figures were less playable than regular action figures. There’s no benefit to have figures like that, because they aren’t even cheaper than a regular toy lol

Were Rumblers in scale with each other? For the most part, but they were kind of cartoonish with the legs always tiny and the waist up big and bulky with long arms. They kind of just had small, medium, or large for height & most were medium. Sometimes they were in certain poses so a lot of them were just the same height due to that (HBK doing the superkick, McIntyre kneeling, Punk GTS, etc.). Rey & Hornswoggle were tiny, Khali/Kane/Undertaker were taller than most. The rest were about the same depending on their pose.

The plus side of having doubles with different shapes was customizing/adding new members to your roster was easy.

Before the Retros were made, I felt like the Rumblers and Flexforce were Mattel's attempts at making Hasbro's.

I liked rumblers. Hogan and other nwo members would have been dope. Nakamura, AJ, Braun, the fiend, and every black wrestler that never got made are the ones I’d be feverishly hunting for.

That is every Rumbler they made . Loved hunting them down for Connor, He never played with them he likes elites , I just got them for him. use to get in panick mode Comic con week trying to get those from ebay . The one that eluded me the most was Mark Henry, just couldn't find it , I had to buy from ebay second hand for £11 without the bar and it had a scratch on his belly , which pissed me right off cos I'm a right old fuss pot. then about must have been four years later, the line had well finished , I was going in Toys R Us for the last time before it closed that week. sad not for me for the staff cos I got to know them over the years, felt bad for them losing there jobs. I was in there for for the lego (Star Wars) had been there the week before, wwe stuff couple battlepacks /belts/ couple elites. walks up to the end cap "NO" they had just two Rumblers, I new Taker was with him seen him before mark first , it was behind can't remember which one. no can't be. £2 didn't think I was going to buy any think least of all that.on Connors life true story.

I guess RSC would need another product to mark down to $2 in the Black Friday sales.

I thought the Legends Rumblers were pretty okay. I had Kane, Taker, Edge, Austin, Warrior and Savage figures. Had the little buried alive set.
Honestly, cool or not, I'd prefer Mattel to sink that budget into other lines like they're doing now. Honestly, I understand they feel the need to make figures with action moves and different gimmicks, but even as a little kid I didn't like those kinds of toys. I would've rather had a nice plain BCA figure over a Slammers release any day, which is one reason why I refused to collect Toybiz WCW figures back then.
I get that they're trying to be creative, but stop wasting the money on creating these figure series that just clog shelves and ultimately end up at Big Lots, 5 & Below, TJ Max, Ollie's and other discount retailers and add the expanded budget into Elites, Legends and Ultimate Editions. Then you can make attire and part choices based on demand instead of based on narrowing margins.
Mattel seems to understand, even if only better than Jakks Pacific, that this license should be geared slightly more toward adults and collectors than kids. Yes, lots and lots of children want wrestling figures, but collectors are who really drive these lines. If you make stuff adults like, kids will buy it too because it's cool, but if you produce mostly stuff geared toward kids, adults won't want or collect it for the most part.
