Can we get silver studs on Kanes belt at least? Looks bizarre without it along with the skinny size 0 waist he has, gauntlets on the wrong arms and laced boots. Didn’t expect a new mask sculpt as I’ve given up on it.

Legends aren’t the emphasis for WWE? Have you seen Raw lately with top stars Randy Orton, Big Show, Edge, Christian, & 70 year old Ric Flair? You’re talking about one storyline. Raw is generally younger talent now I'm talking from a general marketing standpoint. Obviously the current product is the focus. But the way WWE utilizes classic content/talent has been de-emphasized across their brand. They're not signing as many new Legends deals, less emphasis on legends in video game and trading card lines, cutting back on classic content being added to the Network. They have absolutely made a brand decision to reduce the focus on classic/legends content. I was told that directly by someone who is a licensee of WWE who I have no reason to doubt.

Exactly how I feel. As a Legends only collector, I was hoping for a few new names to really look forward to. A few good rehashes like Lawler, Austin and Volkoff but no exciting new names. Days 3 and 4 have been awful...stretching this event for 6 days and revealing nothing is kind of a waste in my opinion. I don't know what better way to put it than I just feel tired collecting this line. Austin, Lawler, Macho, WM 9 HBK are all amazing figures, and ones I've wanted for a long time. And they absolutely nailed them. But I just counted and this will be my 8th Austin, and *13th* HBK and Macho. They're great figures. But I'm sick of buying just the same handful of names over and over with the occasional first time figure thrown in. I get it - WWE controls who Mattel can make, and Legends aren't the emphasis for WWE that they once were. But it put completely throws water on my interest in the product. I feel the same way. I feel like Mattel could do better though with what they are given. They still haven’t made a Kama fighting or NOD that everyone has wanted. I’m sure Hogan will be coming in plentiful but they could have shown a new elite or 2 of his. I would have like a Men on a mission Mabel and thought that would be cool. But like you said there aren’t many new figures for guys who have been here since the beginning. I really am losing interest with the same HBK who is my favorite of all time no less, Warrior, Macho man combo. I get it Mattel needs anchor guys and guys who sell well but 3/4 of the sets are these kind and a one off here and there.

YES ANOTHER 2001 KANE! Hell yeah!
Morrison's looking good too, will pick him and Kane up definitely.
DoD MOC looks alright, really only scoping out half the set (Kingston, Henry, Phoenix, Big Show, Taker) but I'm pleased with the box art.

First the good:
Decade of Dominance Kane: THANK YOU MATTEL!! I have wanted the 'unmasking' Kane head since that moment happened on RAW many, many years ago. That head sculpt is perfection. I do wish they would have given us a new sculpted on 'half mask' w/ goatee instead of the bald head and removable one, but it is what it is. I'm sure we'll get one eventually.
Big Show, HHH, and Beth all look excellent.
I also REALLY like the S.S. JoMo! Pretty flawless figure!
The Bad:
So, I really do like the S.S. Kane, but I'm hoping they fix whatever is going on with his belt. Secondly, I thought for sure that we'd FINALLY get a new masked head. It's so overdue it's not even funny. The one we've had since Elite 12 flat out sucks. It's terrible. I hate it so much. I also wish they'd use the new thicker torso that the upcoming Collector's Edition Undertaker has.

I wish they had used a dark skin tone on the mesh for Kane (like they did with the Hardcore exclusive) instead of a grey.

That Torso wouldn’t work for any of Kane’s gear, it’s not cut like a singlet

All this time and I thought Mattel was going to improve their fb Kanes. We’ve asked for a new headsculpt because the r3 is still the best Kane sculpt to this day. We’ve asked for a bigger torso and laceless boots and nothing. How many people could point out the same thing over and over with no change? I’m still getting this figure, but that means I have to fix it up. Yet, a one off Kurt Angle gets his own sculpted torso... To be fair, I think they were planning on using that Angle torso over and over again until the corona releases

My rule is: no doubles (unless they were a different "character"). So my future Stunning Steve will be my first and only Austin. My UE HBK is my only HBK. Of course, I'm putting together a massive, IG voted, figure fed for 2021 so I also have a reason. But yes, I can totally see how tiring it would be to have 10+ Underakers for example clogging up the shelf. Nobody held a gun to my head and made me buy them. They're great figures, and I love them. But it didn't feel like well tread ground when we got 4 Machos in a year when you also got Tugboat, Warlord, Shamrock, D'Lo, etc mixed in. When 90% of the legends reveals are those same names most of us have bought over and over, it starts to feel stale.

Morrison is the 5th person that’s part of a tag team shown this year that they haven’t indicated whether or not the partner is also coming.
Austin Davey Boy Alexa Beefcake
*Not a tag team but Mae Young and Moolah were always a pair.

Austin Davey Boy Alexa Beefcake (although L7 Valentine kinda works) *Not a tag team but Mae Young and Moolah were always a pair. The main issue with Valentine is the yellow boots, although I suppose they could be swapped if someone wanted to do so.

Then yeah, if it requires a fix up then it doesn’t work.

Anyone else think Mattel is starting to crack with the pressure of the AEW line? Some of these mistakes are late Jakks era mistakes. Lazy funhouse Bray, Kane missing studs on belt, Kofi with painted knee pads, a belt not being sculpted for Ultimate Fiend. I can go on and on. I’ve never seen Mattel get this lazy. It may have to do with costs but when Jazwares is providing a quality product with amazing articulation it’s easy to compare what you get from Mattel for $20-$30. I don't think it's that. Mattel is cranking out a lot of figures every year, so there's bound to be mistakes. A lot of the problems people have are mostly small imperfections (that are totally frustrating, I'm right there with most of them given every figure has photo references), but for the most part I think Mattel is still killing it giving collectors a ton of options. Mattel's been killing it for a decade and have done better with this IP than anyone ever has (and it's not even close).
