I hated that Backlash 2018 logo with the big red L. There are some logos that are just lame because of lack of creativity, like Roadblock, Night of Champions, Payback, Battleground. They just aren't exciting on a poster or on a stage set. i'll see your 2018 backlash logo and raise it with a 1999 iyh: backlash logo Oh man.

Surprised nobody mentioned this. Much like their change from The Great American Bash to The Bash, this was a similar idea for the ill-fated second installment... (Sorry for the crude photo editing. Used app on my phone)

Also, what's "Taboo" about Tuesdays? To me, it's a boring, mundane long work day where the weekend is still a pipedream. Computers aren't forbidden, or "taboo." I think it's more taboo to not use a computer, even in 2004-2005.

I'll be honest;
Though yes, absolutely, there have been some pretty damn cringe-worthy PPV/event logos (and names!) over the years, there are none moreso... none even comparable to the god-awful WWE logo that's now representative of the company.
I understand the apparent need to have a company logo that is sleek, streamlined and simplistic, but ffs the logo that they chose is terrible in my opinion. It does nothing to capture the heritage and prestigiousness that WWE SHOULD represent. Don't get me wrong, I know that Vince never wanted a "wrestling" company anyway, and the new logo does come across as an "entertainment" entity moreso than not, but using that logo... making it the ONLY feature of the main plate of their championship... man, it just destroys the legacy of the company's history and the meaningfulness of their heavyweight title.
The WWF World Heavyweight Championship used to mean something. It used to carry with it a prestige and a heritage that gave it unimaginably greater value. It was something you believed a man would fight for. Now... It's kinda like the old TMNT and MMPR toys in that it seems to exist ONLY to sell toys. As a matter of fact, it seems that nearly ALL WWE media only exists to sell merchandise, memorabilia and toys.
Remember when the show was the most important part of WWF/WWE?
Apologies for the rant, especially since it was partially unrelated. I just really miss enjoying the product and being proud to be a fan.

They should've blended it with the 1991 ppv, "This Taboo Tuesday in Texas" lol
