Anyone ever watch this? It was a mid-'90s MTV cartoon, MTV's attempt to re-create the magic of Beavis and Butthead, and made by Ed, Edd, n Eddy legend Danny Antonucci. The critics hated it, but I love it personally, I've never seen anything like it. It takes the grossout, grotesque humor and aesthetic of Ren & Stimpy, Beavis & Butthead, and Cow & Chicken to the highest degree. Many say it's one of the worst television shows of all time, but I can't get enough (the whole series is on YouTube). Anyone else familiar with The Brothers Grunt? Anyone else a fan?
Premise, by the way: A group of grotesque human-like creature brothers are born into a monastery, living under the direction of the grand poobah of the monastery. They hatched from the grotesque body of an "above all" supreme being a few years prior and were nursed to "adulthood" by the poobah as time passed. The brothers reached the point of a major ceremony that would signal their "adulthood," but during the ceremony the most important brother (who had been named The Chosen One) escaped the monastery and physically entered normal society. Now the poobah sends the brothers out daily to find The Chosen One, and as they look for him (all while making weird noises and wearing nothing but their underpants) they end up in weird adventures/scenarios within society. All the brothers are named after famous '50s/'60s singers, and The Chosen One's name is Perry. After some time a detective in society begins to notice the family and eventually follows them back to the monastery to learn more.

Hell yeah! That show was nuts. I've been looking for episodes of it for years.

I remember watching it and loving it when I was a kid when it first came out. Then for years I vaguely remembered it, but none of my friends knew what I was talking about when I was describing it. It got to the point where for years I thought it was some really weird reoccurring dream I’d had. Finally a few months ago I came across it on YouTube and was vindicated.
