Didn't want to dig up/take over any old WoN or Pokémon thread or anything. Figured a new thread probably made the most sense to show off my stuff and where we could discuss any other random video game figures coming out. Got a new set of shelves recently, so I got to expand my video game display. I love Legends and Black Series, but these are by far my favorite part of my collection. It’ll probably need five rows before too long. This started as just a Smash Bros collection YEARS ago when it was like the old ToyBiz Mario Kart figures, some Jakks Pokémon, and some mediocre customs of Link and Fox. Since then the like of Figuarts, Figma, World of Nintendo, and contemporary Pokémon lines have made this turn into something huge for me. I think what makes this so special for me is how infrequent and unexpected most figures are. They're mostly import figures that get randomly announced for release one at a time. So it's been a slow, expensive, methodical process to put this together, but I love it.

No Dragon’s Lair Dirk the Daring? I wish I had picked that figure up when it was first released. Earthworm Jim was such a fun game. I don’t know what happened to my Earthworm Jim figures. Very impressive collection.

Seems as good a place as any to post this, after all it's sort of video game related
Got my Kotobukiya Resident Evil Vendetta Chris Redfield in the post today. (I know it's based on a movie, but Resident Evil, video games, saves having to open a new thread.)
Don't own a lot of these big statue type figurines, usually way out of my price range, but I just had to have my all time favorite video game character.
Size comparison to his Resident Evil 6 creators model statue.

I really wish high-quality figures of CLASSIC video games were released more often, there's so many great franchises that have never had figures, only had poor quality ones, or only had figures based on the later/modern era of a franchise, and never ones based on the earlier/classic era.
a full line of CLASSIC Streets Of Rage figures would be my top pick, there were so many distinct and cool looking characters. I was so disappointed (though not surprised) when Storm Collectibles announced the license... then just went with SOR4 style. It'd be fine if they also did classic style figures, but I'm betting they just want to cash in on the SOR4 hype and won't actually bother doing any classic versions, though I hope I'm wrong.

I'm surprised nobody has made Streets of Rage action figures.

That’s a nice looking statue. I really wish a company like Figma would do Resident Evil figures. I’d love a RE1 Jill and Chris.

Not sure why no company has jumped on it outside of a few figures NECA released over 10 years ago. I feel there’s a collectors market out there that would buy up a RE figure line.

Picked up Bass, X, and Cut Man over the past couple weeks. I’ve got a pretty good little crew going here.

Randy can be a jerk himself at times so I’m sure that’s a lovely combo if they ever tried to work together again. If Capcom is a pain that sucks as they have a few properties I feel would make some great figure lines.

I feel like that’s kind of odd considering how much Mega Man and Street Fighter merch we’ve gotten over the years from tons of different companies.
He said the same thing about Konami, but I can kind of believe that since we don’t see as much Metal Gear or Castlevania stuff. (But a Figma Simon Belmont is a dream figure of mine, so I wish they’d get their butts in gear and make it happen)

I collect the Storm Collectibles SFV and Gears of War lines, although I am behind on Gears. I gave up on Mortal Kombat, as it was just too expensive to juggle that and SF.
For those who haven't seen them in-person, they are the highest quality mass-market product I've ever owned, and if you take care of your collectibles, well worth the money.

Come to think of it Golden Axe never got a figure line except for a Tyrus Flare statue in Japan. I don't think Shinobi ever got a figure

Anyone get the Johnny Silverhand figure? I just picked it up today and I quite like it. I am pretty excited for Cyberpunk 2077.

Got the Final Fantasy Dissida Play Arts Squall from ebay recently, have a few of the Mass Effect ones, but this is the first Play Arts one I've ever opened, taller than I thought it would be, gave up trying to put the stand together, luckily he stands up without it. Also have the FF7 remake Tifa on preorder.
Really like this one have always been more of an FF8 guy, 7 is still my second fav, but personally Squall > Cloud he was one of my video game role models growing up.

Anyone have any input on the Street Fighter Storm Collectibles figures? Do they have the soft crouch piece like the Hollywood Hogan had?

So, you know, sometimes in the midst of what feels like could be the end of the world, you say “screw it” and drop some change on a custom figure of a character that will likely never get a figure of his own. Geno might not have made it into Smash Bros, but he can still at least be a part of my collection. I’ve wanted a figure of him for a while and had long considered commissioning a custom of him (something I’ve never done before) since he’s very likely to never get any actual merchandise. My biggest hold up was wanting to make sure I got something that looked at home with all my other import figures and Jakks Mario stuff. Then I stumbled on Joseph’s Junk on Etsy. There I found this amazingly well crafted 3D printed Geno figure. Fully articulated with metal pins for joints and a wood grain texture to really nail the wooden doll look. He’s got ball shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, wrist swivels, swivel and hinge hips, hinge knees, and swivel ankles. He comes in all white, printed in appropriate colors, or all the way with fully sanded and painted. All 3 options come already assembled. I have very little experience with full customization so I went with the finished off version and I’m super happy with him. Super smooth finish on the hat, cape and boots, with a great wash on the body to bring out the grain texture, and a glossy finish on the eyes and boots. He looks perfect with my other Mario figures and right at home next to some of his Square Enix brethren from the Bring Arts line. He’s got a Mallow as well which I’m sure I’ll order before too long.

Killer collection. Getting my nephew into the World of Nintendo figures recently. Got him both Mario and Luigi for Christmas. Want to find him Bowser and Donkey Kong for sure.
