here's the updated fyter fest card. see ya'll in the predictions thread when figurecollector has everything ready boys. hopefully i can retain that #1 spot lol. NIGHT 1 MJF & Wardlow vs Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy Private Party vs Santana & Ortiz AEW WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP | Hikaru Shida vs Penelope Ford AEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP | Kenny Omega & Hangman Page vs The Best Friends TNT CHAMPIONSHIP | Cody vs Jake Hager NIGHT 2 Lance Archer vs Joey Janela Nyla Rose will appear Mr. Brodie Lee & Colt Cabana vs SCU Chris Jericho vs Orange Cassidy FTR & Young Bucks vs Lucha Bros & Butcher and The Blade AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP | Jon Moxley vs Brian Cage Honestly this 2-night card feels harder to predict because so many storylines have been introduced and/or changed. My predictions will probably be guessing where Tony Khan and his Creative team want to take their company.

Some things have maybe changed, but according to the past year worth of dirtsheet reports and such; Tony Khan is final say, overall creative direction of booking matches. Young Bucks do a lot of the Tag Team creative stuff. Brandi & Kenny Omega do most of the Women's creative. Probably changed.Jericho, Cody & Christopher Daniels have all had their names tied to the creative of the singles men's roster. Also, it's widely accepted most wrestlers, male or female have almost complete control of how they speak to their "storyline direction" once they are out there live on screen. Jericho has been behind a couple of things due to suggestions he's made. Seems to be pretty free form backstage with Tony trying to fit it all together as a card each week.

I hope they never ever bring in sitcom writers who no nothing about wrestling. All those people you mentioned know wrestling. I hope they rebound from last week’s low number because if they go keep going down TNT could feel there’s something wrong and pull the plug. Ratings and numbers matter more than some people on here think. When Impact’s numbers went down, Spike cancelled them.

All those people you mentioned know wrestling. i don't think you have to worry about that changing at all - AEW is ran by wrestlers. they're not gonna make that mistake, especially seeing what it did to WCW and WWE as examples.

Very true about ratings and being canceled. The 4 year extension is simply pr, if TNT wants AEW gone, it happens in the snap of a finger basically.
The way to ensure that doesn't happen, is to tune in, in record numbers. Hopefully, that starts to happen as AEW proves continually over time to have interesting logical stories and booking.
Luckily the idiots who ran the AOL / Time Warner merger in 2000/2001 into the ground, aren't still there. Also glad Kip Fry is gone. The initial signing with TNT seemed like, "here we go again," but thankfully those people from the past are long gone.

I think #SpeakingOut had something to do with it, but I attribute the large drop to The Elite not being on the show. I think it’s a huge mistake to have Hangman, Omega, & the Bucks wrestling (at most) every other week. Besides Jericho and Cody, those guys are the draws and more times than not they’re crammed on the same episode.

Besides Jericho and Cody, those guys are the draws and more times than not they’re crammed on the same episode. I was mentioning something about this on the Meltzer forums yesterday. I think a big issue with the Elite right now has been that the stories for them are so long term, with so many subtleties. That's great for hardcore fans like us who know their history, etc, but not so much for the casual fans who are just learning about them. It's great to have those subtleties and long term arcs, but they've also gotta be a part of major, in your face stories, in major ways so that the 'lapsed' fans that they are targeting (and I think that they've found) really understand what makes them special. It's far from too late to course correct, but I agree with you totally. It's time to make the Elite f***ing elite, and get them really in the spotlight again. I'm really hoping by All Out we have Kenny or Hangman in a world title match. I'd be fine with either taking it. If Cage wins, either of them. If Mox retains, having Kenny take it from him would make most sense given their history from the first DoN forward.
