Finally getting a chance to start collecting the Jakks Rocky line, this is not a cheap line, to say the least lol really wish I picked these up back in the day from Kay Bee feels like this line didn't get the attention it maybe should have. but it's not without its faults. The card backs didn't show all the figs in a particular line, like Rocky 4, and the Joe Frazier figure has a Rocky card with a Rocky III back. also, some figs in the lines seem to have taken away from more deserving characters. Rocky had he aforementioned Joe Frazier as well as Frank Stallone as the street singer , which I find odd as they each have mere seconds long appearances in the first movie, whereas Rocky V had only TWO figures and could have easily added characters like Union Cane and George Washington Duke instead of Frank and Frazer. They could have also done a street gear Tommy to go with both Duke and Rocky in his street gear. Things like the meat and re-releasing a few figures in the Best Of waves and/or multipacks seemed unnecessary, but that's a standard in most figure lines. I was orignally planning to make these into DA/UFC customs to fit with the rest of my collection, but Ive been getting lazy with my customs list, not to mention considering what Ive paid for some of these I may want to actually keep them as is if the pricing keeps going the way it has been lol thoughts? Anyone else a fan of the line?

I loved this line so much. I've always hated that it came along when Jakks changed the shoulders on the figures so any sort of movement of the arms meant your figure was going to break. I had Rocky and Apollo from the first movie and wanted to collect the whole line, but my Apollo broke and it kind of scared me away from them.
I'd live to start a collection of these now.
EDIT: Frank is Sly's brother and he was the lead of the street singers and people remember him, so I guess that's why he got one. Joe Frazier is, well, Joe Frazier. If you're gonna do a boxing line and you have the ability to make him...you make him.

I remember all of these figures being cheap and plentiful at a stand at the Collingswood flea market about 10 years ago. I only have Drago in training gear and Lang and check eBay every once in a while for others but, the prices are usually too much for me.

I always wanted just a Rocky figure, clubber lang,& drago fig but I never saw them in person. It seems like they had everyone on the pegs but those 3. A few years ago I saw the drago 2pk where he's wearing a uniform at goodwill but they wanted $20 or $30. Recently I picked up a 3pk at the flea market for $15 😎

George Washington Duke was done, but Union Cane wasn't for some reason...

I regret so much not buying these. I blew them off when they were new thinking I'd never want them. Now they are so expensive i cant begin to think of starting.
