So I don’t know if anyone here knows about this but did demolition change their theme in the early 90s? I was watching Wrestlemania VII and they had some strange theme song I’ve never heard before. I was watching it on the Network and I checked their other matches and some have the normal Rick Derringer song but a lot have this other theme I’ve never heard of.

They changed their music to this once they got back with Fuji in the Fall of 90 Another part of their downfall

They had to change their theme song. "Here comes the Ax" is the first line of the song. If Ax isn't in the team anymore... well it's kind of hard to have a song that says, "here comes the Ax."
"Here comes the Smash, here comes the Crush, they jobbed to LOD, oh what a rush! Demolition!! Jobbing and losing, is our middle names!"

They should have gone back to their first theme which was pre-Derringer. It was a slower version of the background music, less heavy metal. It did sound pretty cool even though the second theme was obviously more iconic. Acolytes had a theme very similar when they first started and although that too was slow it wasn't nearly as slow and methodical as the Demolition first theme.

That's actually not a bad theme at all. If the stigma of Crush, Fuji again, masks, being jobbed out weren't attached to it I think people would've looked at it more fondly.
