Loose. Only keep some moc if I’m planning on getting them signed or if it has unique packaging.

I collect loose but I do buy MOC of guys that I would like to get signed one day
I had Retro 8 Iron Shiek, HOC Kane and FB3 Steamboat set time get signed this summer at local con, but COVID messed that up So I just sold them
Now I only have a Curt Hawkins E64 MOC lol

Blend of both. Obviously the rarer and harder to find they are, the more likely I keep them MOC.

Almost 900 loose figures. I think I have one figure set MOC, and I kept the package from the list Jericho and Bubbly Jericho.

I am 99% a loose collector. The 1% is for when I buy a double of a figure I REALLY like to hang on my wall above my gaming PC that I built. I have no intentions on reselling, and if I do as a loose figure, I'll take the hit since it'll be YEARS down the line. I also am lacking a lot of space so I wouldn't even have room for MOC stuff. To each their own though! I have a MOC friend who hates the thought of loose figures so I see both sides! I feel like you are describing me. Everything you state I can relate to haha

Love me some Sex Ferguson) - Japanese NOAH Kenta Kobashi in black and purple figure - Japanese BJW Jun Kasai red version Figure - Japanese NJPW Great Muta from his match with the Great Nita Figure All with the intention of getting them signed. I shudder to think the grand total I spent on all of them.

there's no way there's more MOC than loose, i'd guarantee that. if anything i bet the majority is a mix, like myself. i open nearly everything, but like to keep legit exclusives (like Slim Jim Macho, Ringside Hardy's, etc) in the pacakge So you’re more lose than moc? I’d say most 50/50 are the same, more Loose than moc

I voted loose, but I do keep some specific pieces MOC.
In my younger days, I was a MOC collector and anything I wanted to open I had to buy a duplicate for. Nowadays I only do that with certain things, like the MOTWWU line and exclusives. Otherwise, if I want it for my collection, it's to open.

Yeah; I think there are some special release or packaging that is worth keeping MOC. Or you get something signed obviously.
I initially started MOC but as collection grew and wanting to do some fixups to make figures better (kneepads, headswaps etc) had to open them up.
With the elite & basic main line packaging changing every so often there is no uniform look or size of package.
Bottom Line: A Collection displayed looks better loose and saves more space.
