yikes, lotta hate for tonight's episode it sounds like? I only tuned in 20 mins ago.. I don't subscribe to the 'cage must win' logic, but i would like to see it. I feel like Mox almost needs the title for a bit longer for true legitimacy. he's been fed some imposing characters, bring in a heel Omega I really liked tonight outside of a couple spots. I really dunno why this thread is so negative tonight the first few matches were a bit sloppy, the jericho segment was the most wwe thing they've done yet, the horsemen tease was overly blatant tonight, alex marvez was on screen, nightmare sisters belonged on dark, vickie is nyla's manager for what reason?, and personally i really did NOT want mox to win. the six-man tag stuff and darby returning were the only real positives for me tonight. oh, and ivelisse being announced. i'm always on here talking up aew, but not this time. the show actually dragged for the first time since i can remember. |

Well the majority seem to have liked the show elsewhere too. Looking across some other forums etc everything was largely positive. #1 trending in America and Canada on twitter. Well I enjoyed it. Hyped for Ivelisse vs. Diamante next week. I was hoping for them against Brandi/Allie since that was the theory/rumour I had heard, but I'd much rather just see them bang it out against each other so this is much better. I really hope they're both actually #allelite. If warhorse shows up next week for Cody I'll be pretty pumped. I hadn't watched him before but after Arn mentioned it I went and looked him up. 80's heavy metal rocker who has a DIY setup in his garage gym?! My kinda dude. I think I might stay away from this thread next week though lol. My feed is always like 2-4 minutes behind so I'm always playing catchup on here, and goddamn does that negativity take the fun out of a show if I'm enjoying it. Constructive criticism is one thing but man, this was kinda toxic tonight. Don’t let any criticisms take away from your enjoyment. Enjoy what you enjoy, my guy! |

Most may hate this, but get that AEW title back on Jericho is best.
Moxley has sucked. Brodie nor Cage can beat him.
Kenny cant turn soon enough.
Bucks beat Hang/Kenny. Kenny snaps...ish. goes solo. Defeats Mox or Jericho and we get The Cleaner we have ALL been waiting for

I didn’t mind the finish to Mox/Cage. It’s a hell of a lot better than a DQ or distraction finish that gets spammed elsewhere. No interference and the manager looked out for his client. Solid finish.

Tonight wasn’t terrible. I’m pissed Cage didn’t win because he can be the dominant heel. All in all though, you can tell one of the problems is they overthink and over act things.

I usually say “well that was a home run show”. I can’t tonight. Pretty disappointing. With Raw getting its lowest viewership ever, AEW had the opportunity to take advantage, put on a home run show, and more people would watch inching closer to Raw’s viewers. This show may do less than 600,000. FTR and Lucha Bros. didn’t mesh well. I'm not speculating on the numbers, but I fear this was a stumble "certain people" were waiting for. And for it to come on a show featuring "the demo-god", that is begging for a backlash. Bringing out Vickie and the DX-ish OJ spot, not gonna go by most people. The men's tags were my favorite parts. The Elite gave a little much to get Marko on the same plane as Perry and the Dino. Omega's little slip was entertaining, but we have so many guys blurring the lines already. FTR/Lucha Bros tightened up late but started out shaky. World Title match was alright, but Mox lacked fire again. If you're going to tell about all the hardships and stresses he's went thru lately, with a little big-mouthed shrimp needling him throughout, you'd expect him to already be walking an edge. And being put against someone billed as a "machine", the contrast should have been right there. |

next week: cody's weekly title defense hangman vs five ivelisse vs diamante mjf w/ wardlow in action young bucks vs butcher and blade falls count anywhere jurassic express vs jericho and hager we shall try again next week. i got my hopes up too high for cage tonight, but there's nothing there for me to really worry about next week. tnt title matches are usually pretty good, five/alan angels is fun to watch so him and page should be good. ivelisse vs diamante will  ing rule. mjf is great but i'm really liking anything wardlow is doing lately. fca match will be fun. it's too bad sammy isn't there to take hager's spot or the last match would be even better. still looking forward to it tho. |

They've had the feud with each other since literally day 1 at the first double or nothing. All out isn't until September 5th so they've got a bit of time. Can get the belts off Kenny/hangman and try to set it up for then, or have Kenny and Hangman drop the belts at all out (poor hangman two huge losses at all out) and then have Kenny charge for the big one at full gear |

I thought the finish was OK if you had to have the belt stay on Mox but overall the match was dull, Mox just isn't delivering great matches the last few months, Brodie was a decent brawl but apart from that nope not entertaining at all. |

Neither one will lose this fight Because he has been booked there, however very easily when I look at the two of them I say, Cage will kill this little dude. Allin is gonna have to bend the rules and play outside the lines to even have a chance, then it disrupts the heel/babyface dynamic. The babyface should draw sympathy, but because of his size, him making the comeback after drawing that sympathy is unrealistic, and buries the opponent. |
