After more than a year of waiting finally got Dynamite - is the quality always this bad? Card is very thin, bubble almost collapses just looking at it and the cape is covering his face. 😬….that doesn’t sound good. I think that by and large the figures have improved as things have progressed; it’s just a real shame Dynamite was one of the first produced, as Im not really a fan of the execution of the figure, for various reasons.

Seems there were some Chella updates during the night! They've shown the design for the British Bulldogs two-pack set: http://instagr.am/p/Cldsl_GsY6q Interestingly they say that Dynamite Kid will be made of all new parts, which I think is a smart move for many reasons. Also they've shown the artwork for their Megastars series 3 Andre: http://instagr.am/p/CldaGwws9Lu Love the decision to make him overwhelm the size of the card - that's a great idea I think. And also the DDP design that was teased earlier in the year: http://instagr.am/p/CldfGo-swEK He'll have changeable hands, so he can do his pose as well. Very excited by all of this; I recognise what people are saying about companies just showing artwork and agree with it, but still can't help getting excited by reveals like these, especially when they are at the level of artistic beauty that Tippy produces for Chella.

That's a much better Dynamite! I'd love them to redo the first two in this style but I really doubt that'll happen.

I'll be honest, I'm more interested in DDP than a remake of the Bulldogs, given that the images look like it will be the same body for Dynamite and Davey, just with different arms/heads, but that's ok if they do it right

That Dynamite Kid is outstanding. Seems like there's a lot going on behind the scenes now, which is bringing back some of the excitement I initially had for these lines. I'm hoping that the Bulldog variants are on the way, and for some news on Onita. I'd love a new Jake the Snake, if at all possible.

Daddy and Haystacks are now with WT, so they're shipping them out this week, so I guess that means parcels for a lucky few may even arrive before Saturday?

No need for ddp to have 2 sets of arms. If toybiz can get away with diamond cutter hands than so can a collectible thats not really going to be played with

I'm not really interested in getting anything else until my existing orders wind up being fulfilled, but WT responding to my email quickly about some figures I've been waiting for since last year was promising.
I think I'll wait til I get something in hand from all the previous orders I've placed before I even contemplate adding more to the mix.

This is going to be an unnecessary thing to complain about I know, but it kind of annoys me that Chella shares stuff on Instagram. Either you wash your hands of your business, or you don't. You can't ignore customers for a long long time and still promote the business you got rid of.

I agree Wrestling Trader are better, it's still taking a while to receive a Big Daddy figure. I'm giving them benefit of the doubt as there are massive postal strikes all around still.

This is going to be an unnecessary thing to complain about I know, but it kind of annoys me that Chella shares stuff on Instagram. Either you wash your hands of your business, or you don't. You can't ignore customers for a long long time and still promote the business you got rid of. Chella have been bought/taken over by Wrestling Trader, but it's still retaining (for the time being at least) the Chella Toys brand name
yes, the previous owners/management messed up and ruined consumer confidence in the brand, but there has been a marked difference since WT took over - they communicate weekly, giving updates on what's happening and why. they also disabled Chella's online store to prevent new customers from buying products that they didn't have a handle on, to make sure they could resolve the outstanding issues
my personal hope for the WT-era Chella is that come January, things will be much better once Daddy/Haystacks/Snow have been shipped out, and they are able to communicate when they expect to receive figures like Gangrel, Luna, as well as the other Series 2 figures like bWo, Haku and Tanga
I expect that by the end of March, Wrestling Trader should have resolved all of the outstanding issues and hopefully have new figures regularly landing on doorsteps within a more managed distribution process

Customer confidence is easily lost and hard to earn back
New management aside it’s hard to rebuild the name when it turned into the mess it did
IMO they’d be better to distance themselves and start fresh as a new company

I agree, the "brand" name becomes the noose around the neck after a bad experience, especially one as messed up as 2022 for Chella
I can imagine they have plans to rebrand in the new year, but consistency is also key here - people know the company they bought from (and are still waiting on fulfilment of their orders) so perhaps the plan is to badge all new figures as Wrestling Trader exclusives, and just do away with the tarnished brand name, maybe a 2023 "New Year, New Me" type rebrand is on the horizon? who knows.....

I think the second set of arms skews too far away from the "retro" feel. I know it might be a dumb thing to take issue with, but I think all of us want some degree of "retro" feel with these. If I wanted figures with swappable parts, I'd buy Mattel Ultimates.

Waiting on Big Daddy too but think Royal Mail strikes will probably mean we see them next week I'm waiting on all kinds of stuff, mostly non wrestling related parcels, and it seems to be taking absolutely ages with all of the royal mail strikes going on. I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that I'm not gonna see a lot of this stuff for another couple of weeks by the time it takes them to catch up on sorting the inevitable backlog.
