The 3POA podcast with Matt was good. It really seemed to clear the air with most of the misconceptions and remained cordial enough to have disagreements that didn’t seem to leave a bad taste in anyone’s mouth. Go listen if you haven’t already - you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll cringe.
There were points coming from each side that I feel some people here can really learn from. One thing that I did want to touch upon is the assumption of tone or “putting a voice” behind a comment. This is probably one of my biggest flaws here and elsewhere. What we say and the way we write it is open to the interpretation of the reader. There are times where I have had difficulty reading something in multiple ways and instead only taken something as a negative. It’s even harder when you feel as though you know the person.
In this episode, a text from Chelsea’s sister was referenced. Chelsea had taken that text and interpreted it automatically as a negative thing. For her, I’m sure it’s easy to take something like that from someone she knows and have an educated guess at what she meant by it. It doesn’t mean she will always be right. Similarly, most here are familiar with Matt’s voice, his cadence, and his vocabulary. When he posts here you can hear his voice. Given the things that had been said about Epic several weeks ago, it was hard to read any interaction without that same tone of disgust and frustration. And that isn’t truly fair so I do apologize if I came off as more aggressive than I should have been.
The Matt Cardona in that interview was more casual and subdued than what most of us are used to…and that is anything but a negative. It harkens back to that interview Mark Sterling did with Zombie Sailor where there is less of an emphasis on the gimmick or trying to be entertaining and more focus on the passion of the individual. That shift in tone in both that interview and today’s episode really reinforces the point that was made about trying not to assume the worst when it comes to people’s comments here (and elsewhere).

That shift in tone in both that interview and today’s episode really reinforces the point that was made about trying not to assume the worst when it comes to people’s comments here (and elsewhere). It's all about context, here, and everywhere else online where we have conversations or make statements or cast opinions on things. I can honestly say that I've very rarely, if ever, been offended by anything that I've read on here or elsewhere. You've got to take it all with a pinch of salt. Sure, I've been puzzled by certain posts, but never offended, even if posters were legitimately trying to offend. That being said, context, again, is everything, and I've always claimed that a company's behaviour won't dictate whether I choose to buy from them or not, even ZST's behaviour, which has often been pretty poor to his own customers, but still wouldn't stop me from buying crap from him if I WANTED to. As others have said, we're simply talking about toys here, which were all obviously into, which makes us all immune from criticism anyway, cos we're all undoubtedly strange men (and women, if any exist here).

Thought it was a good point made by Matt about people signing to get figures produced and it won't come out for years... and then Mantaur dies yesterday before his figure gets out. This will keep happening for sure with the amount of talent tied up.
Major Pod are definitely the ones going in the best direction in regards to signings and "pre-orders" and I think Epic is heading in the same direction now so that's great.

This biggest issue with all companies - and I am surprised nobody ever mentioned this before - is that noone has signed the Beverly Brothers to a figure deal yet. We need Beverly Brothers in retro form. Yeah true, I bet there's quite a few out there that could get signed that aren't under the wwf trademark copyright laws.

What’s the story behind all the Joey knight figures. I’ve actually never heard of him before seeing the Chella figures. Does he have that big of a following to warrant that many figures? Seems there are several variants. Is there that big of a demand for those, to be spending production time on those vs other figures in there backlog.

I imagine he money marked his way into paying for them. Chella never promoted them, or sold them on their website.

Now there’s 5 new variants that were funded by 4 different entities and once again they sold out in minutes. The Joeys had to be made due to pre-orders being taken for them, these are now complete and in the Uk for shipping out

But I love him, he’s a great guy and I think he genuinely is living out a dream by having his own action figures and with 8 variants that have all sold out instantly, he’s doing pretty well.

I contacted wrestling trader now several times about that one order that is still uncompleted with a figure (E. Page) that is in everybodys Hand now for very long.
...and they just dont answer. Not the Nice kind to treat a buyer this way ,that bought the whole chella range.

What else what it ordered with out of interest? If it was a Haystacks then that will be the delay

Listened to the 3POA episode today with KWK’s Shawn Ng. I have watched videos with him before and I have no idea how someone manages to be so interesting and so dull at the same time! Maybe it was the uninterrupted rants or stories. On the bright side, there were a lot of good jokes in this episode that flew completely under the radar but managed to pop me!
I’m not really sure how successful his business plan is with the people he has signed but I wished him luck.

Thanks for listening, we always like to ask a question and then let the guest go uninterrupted. Doesn’t always work though 😉 Glad someone appreciated the jokes haha

Bittersweet news. This summer has flown by. I was still in the mindset that we would be getting these in July before realizing it was already August. So a number of us may not get these until around September from the sounds of it.

Would have been on time if the factory had sent them out when promised. Shipped on a 4-7 days service which I know would have cost them a Bomb though

Emailed Wrestlingtrader about the status of Dynamite Kid and blue Haystacks, replied in minutes explaining the issue.
Sent them my email for a paypal refund, four days later and still nothing. Glad I jumped off.
