Could you elaborate with this? This is news as I was only ever aware Charles was making decisions until I tried to help out last summer Sure, inputs from different people and not having a set person doing set jobs for consistency. Would explain why the molds for the figures are all over the place, you know more about the dealings behind the scenes when Charles was in charge but it seemed that he was going to different people for different figures for molding etc… Did anyone get Tanga Loa from Series 2? Is he also scaled a bit smaller? Really hope we can get a Tama Tonga in this style, still.

The Stevie Richards thing is something I have wondered about too. BWO figures didn’t interest me so I didn’t purchase them. I haven’t had them in hand but I do seem to hear that same complaint echoed pretty unanimously that Stevie was undersized. What I would like to know is at what stage in the game did Epic know about this? Molds are known to be expensive. Sculptors aren’t free either. So it sounds like the call was to produce the figure with what they had and hope that the backlash or the unhappiness would be minimal. But if they didn’t realize it was small…that is a sign of a quality issue. If that is the truth of the matter, please put Mr. and Mrs. Epic in touch with me immediately. Molds would have been made and pre-orders would have been sold based off those molds so they had to stick with them. Switching to a different mold would have cost a bucket load too. For the record too, they haven’t refused any refunds as far as I’m aware. Keep up the great work pal! Context is King!

Not seen many pictures of Tanga for some reason, I’ve only gotten the Haku so far but sure someone else would have on here

So what do people think about Series 2? Skip it or keep it?

So, in an update to my ongoing Wrestling Trader saga… August 8th: I asked if they had any damaged card Giant Haystacks left. August 10th: They responded that they had. So I ask to have that, rather then wait for them to receive the new stock. The response was: “Yes, no worries at all. I will arrange for that to be sent to you as soon as possible.” August 22nd: I enquired as to when I would be receiving my order, as I would have thought I should have had it in the intervening Two weeks. August 23rd: They responded with: “Apologies for the delay. We are currently despatching Series 2, so our to-do list is taking a little longer to complete than we would like. We will hopefully have this out to you by the end of the week.” September 12th: I buy a carded Blue Giant Haystacks figure from EB for £37.87 September 13th: I have told Wrestling Trader that I know longer want my order from them, & to return my money - as the level of service I have received has been shocking. in between this going on I received my Haku figure from them. What? They couldn't send the Three figures together? Terrible service. They better come through with the Powers of Pain figures, or I'm finished with them - I've already given them more chances then they deserve. Its funny on bay of e people selling the blue one a s a variant, when its the standard figure and the browns the variant. I have noticed the prices of Haystacks and Daddy being low and reasonable now, as no one really wants them, demand was far less than the production runs evidently. WT seem to have too few staff still and are probably up to their neck in it. Maybe wasnt their best idea to buy a toy company after all!

I finally got around to opening my Series 2. Below are my honest opinions:
Haku: it’s a good figure. It’s not a good Hasbro-inspired figure. It’s too small. The scale is too small. He looks thin and frail next to OG Hasbros.
Big Stevie Cool: see above.
If you’re looking for a Haku and Stevie Richards to complement your Hasbro line, these ain’t it, sadly.
Blue Meanie: if you got the first Meanie, you know what it is. His arms are short. Good, decent fig. I shoulda got the bearded variant. 😑
Nova: great figure! Clean paint apps. Colors pop. Scale is pretty damn great.
Tanga Loa: see above.
It’s almost like Haku and Richards aren’t from the same company as the other 3.
If you’re happy with the original Hasbro Flair and Rude in your collection, you’d probably be happy with Haku and Richards. If you’ve looked at those figures and decided they weren’t up to snuff, you’d probably feel the same about Haku and Richards.
Hopefully Epic will revisit Haku and Richards and make them in a larger scale. I think what we’ve seen of PoP and the British Bulldogs are great. I think if Haku and Richards were in that scale, they’d be a much better fit.

I liked the idea of the brown variant, but the blue is my favourite figure - that's the classic look people remember, and that's the one I display with my collection. I have framed the brown one as couldn't think what else to do with it LOL!

I didn’t end up getting the brown - did consider tracking one down but doubt I’ll bother now. I’m well past needing/ wanting to get every release now; my disappointment with Haku and Luna (as two important characters to the era I’m interested in) means that I doubt I’ll do any pre orders moving forward, but rather wait and see how they turn out. As if they don’t fit in with hasbros, or even retros, they don’t really fit my collection.

I agree, Big Daddy and Haystacks are good figures, IMO, and I'm just really happy that they were made, as I've wanted them for years. I'm really happy with how they turned out.
My favourite retro is still probably Hayabusa, though. I'd buy that same figure in any colour they decided to put it out in.

Some day I would like to add blue Haystacks to my collection but there is far more coming out that I would rather purchase.
Big Daddy is very much like an inside joke…sometimes you just had to be there to get it. I have definitely had things in the past that I liked and could not translate to others why it meant so much to me…and I feel like that is what Big Daddy is to the rest of the wrestling world. I appreciate his popularity and the role he played in wrestling history but having watched some of his biggest matches…it just isn’t for me. His figure does an excellent job capturing his likeness and his spirit but it would definitely be a “backer” for me.

The thing with Daddy is that most of the matches that put him on the map occurred when he was much younger and fitter, when he travelled the world under different gimmicks for different promoters. The Daddy we all know and love was a far cry from that, as he was older and had the safety net of being promoted by his brother as the top dog.
One thing about Shirley, though, he could wrestle. I'd recommend the book The Life and Times of Shirley Crabtree to anyone. Great read from start to finish.

It was 1993 at the local leisure centre, The British Bulldog was doing a UK tour in between his WCW back to WWF stint. Daddy was there signing autographs. He was a miserable B******d. 😂😂😂

Not questioning the quality they are good, just the fact that production thanks to all the pre orders from people buying multiples to cash in has not really gone well. Ultimate general demand is lower than the production run is my point. But you already knew that
