Repo Man had 4 looks. The first one is the one the Hasbro figure is based off of; I wouldn't mind the third one below, tank top instead of sleeveless shirt, and silver instead of matte grey. As for Nailz. Even though he had only one look and wasn't around that long, I wouldn't mind another one of him. I always felt his Hasbro figure was too short. If they could do one like Hasbro's Bossman #2 where he's able to hold the nightstick, or maybe like Undertaker's Hasbro figure that has the choking hand, I think that would be better. I didn’t know he was Smash until embarrassingly late in my life, like 6 years ago And the Blacktop Bully!

Kendo Nagasaki, in two colours. We are getting Adrian Street, which is good. William/Steven Regal is lacking, but now he's back with the WWE it's doubtful. Is Adrian Street still a go? I'm fairly sure, but maybe 3POA can give us more details. He was definitely on the back packaging for the Bulldogs.

I didn’t learn Hercules was the Super Invader until like 2002. I was asking a friend of mine who is very knowledgeable about wrestling who some masked wrestlers were.

He was Bret Hart’s tag partner.

so, having listened to the podcast, I have to ask - who is the "rumoured" (apparently already guessed/confirmed) next Deluxe release?
there's a bunch of guesses I've seen, but Luke alludes to it's already known and I was just wondering can I get some confirmation or clarity on it?

Finally getting around to reviewing The Powers of Pain! Because it is time consuming and a pain to upload photos elsewhere and then code them to work here, I’m primarily going to be using Instagram links to share the photo portion of these reviews. If there are specific requests you guys have or if there are photos of well rd issues, flaws, damage, etc. I’ll be sure to include them in these posts under their applicable sections. Part of that small change in format with these posts - I’ll be starting out with the 360 views of each figure. Turn the sound on to get the full experience! Under “The Good” I’ll add the embedded IG link which will always start with the front of the packaging followed by photos of the figures in action. In the “So How Do They Measure Up?” section I’ll have the embedded link to the photos of the new figure side by side with examples from each company (and occasionally some bonus content). Without further delay, here are The Powers of Pain! 360 VIEW: The Barbarianhttp://instagram.com/p/C5RQmTJRN1N 360 VIEW: The Warlordhttp://instagram.com/p/C5RUZkHxpJ5 The Good: http://instagram.com/p/C5RUHgiRNEY Where to start? I was barely aware of PoP growing up as a kid. I knew them far more as singles wrestlers. So when these were announced I wasn’t jazzed. When the final samples were shown off, I was really surprised by their performance quality. Then when they started shipping…I had major regrets about not ordering! Luckily I was able to get a set from FC after someone canceled an order. Glad I did because these are Epic’s victory dance! What an absolute redemption story they have had. The packaging has great artwork and was completely secure on the bubble when I opened it in late March. Since the Retro craze began, these figures look the closest to what Hasbro would have made. The poses they chose, the size, the facial details - all wins in my book. The soft goods are quite detailed for this market. It is so much more than a coat or a tunic or whatever Berzerker was wearing lol. These are were designed accessories and done so with quality. The Bad: The tag team packaging did suffer a bit from lack of a peg hole. I’m glad things have been sorted now in terms of design using the other style of case/carding.
Someone did point out the size of Barbarians hands and it’s a little hard to unsee. Though I had no significant issues posing these figures or having them stand, I could also make the case for wanting slightly bigger boots.
The softgoods are a great bonus. I imagine Hasbro would have molded them on or not included them at all. These have some degree of durability to them but as a child they probably would have been broken within a month. For display purposes? They look great and that is what my intention is.
Something that I need to look at in better light is a possible discoloration issue with Warlord’s chest. I noticed it momentarily while putting his gear back on but need to see it in natural lighting and not the studio lighting I was using to take photos. It could easily be from his soft goods.
So How Do They Measure Up?: Side by side with Hasbros, these blend in so well. Compared to other Retro companies? They are a bit larger. Lawler and Bundy stick out quite a bit. Savio and Thrasher look close to scale with what they would be in real life. To see the photos, swipe to the end of the IG post in “The Good” section.
*Note that I am no longer including photos of figures from Rush*
Final Verdict: Had I preordered these on time and received them last year, they would have easily been a top contender for Figures of The Year! Raven and Mabel would have been hard to beat but that is some stiff competition. But in terms of “most Hasbro-like”? Powers of Pain walk out the victors. I highly recommend you pick up their re-release if you don’t already own them!

My guess is Haku! A Matius new sculpt with soft goods robe and accessories would be epic!

I agree Haku would be the best but I got the impression he’s been kinda iffy on deals lately/ maybe signing a WWE deal. Maybe Stevie Richards with bWo and non-bWo stuff?

as much as I've looked forward to the Eddie figure, I'm somewhat underwhelmed by this reveal, and I get that it's a prototype so hopefully a few more amendments can be made??
it feels like there's less detail on Eddie's torso compared to the likes of Dynamite and Davey, and it could just be how it looks in the image, I just remember Eddie being a little more muscular than this in his WCW days, I know he's not supposed to be as ripped as No Way Out 04 but this just feels a little 'less' than I was expecting
hopefully it'll look good in hand! I'm definitely ordering one, I just hope it's able to stand on it's own against Heenan, Zhukov and Onita and not look out of place

It’s from Halloween Havoc 97 if that helps? I know the era, I just mean the arms feel like they're more like a Greg Valentine figure or Giant Haystacks than one of the Bulldogs, and the torso just looks somewhat "sparse" compared to the likes of the recent Dynamite, I know Eddie wasn't as toned back then but it just looks blander than I was expecting/hoping
will see what it's like when it arrives tho, it's definitely getting bought, I just may not bother in buying two of them
